Ad Review
On November 14, 2017, BBB contacted ATV Tires Canada regarding some of the claims appearing on the company's website:
"Top brands lowest prices."
As per the BBB Code of Advertising https://www.bbb.org/code-of-advertising/ section 12 (Lowest prices, underselling claims), despite an advertiser's best efforts to ascertain competitive prices, the rapidity with which prices fluctuate, and the difficulty of determining prices of all sellers at all times, preclude an absolute knowledge of the truth of unqualified underselling/lowest price claims.
"Canada's largest selection of super ATV products."
"#1 in customer service."
Section 28 of BBB's Code of Advertising states that if an advertiser makes an objective superlative claim, it should already possess substantiation of the claim.
The business has not responded to BBB's request for substantiation, modification, or discontinuance of its claims.
