Community Outreach

Through outreach efforts, your BBB Foundation seeks to educate businesses, charities, and consumers in Northwest Florida to make wise buying and giving decisions.

Student Ethics Scholarship
The Student Ethics Scholarships recognize college-bound students who personify high ethics. Awards criteria include leadership, community service, academic achievement and an essay about character building. Since 2006, the BBB Foundation of Northwest Florida has distributed over $150,000 in scholarships to Northwest Florida area graduating seniors.

Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics
The annual Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics highlights businesses and charities who exemplify ethics and integrity. The Torch Award publicly recognizes businesses and charities that maintain a solid commitment to ethical business practices.

Shred Day events

Shred-a-Thon events in Northwest Florida are part of a national BBB campaign that seeks to broaden awareness about and reduce identity theft in our community. We currently hold shred-a-thons in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach.
