One star is one too many! This guy asked for money to buy materials. I gave him over $4,000 and we both signed the estimate detailing the work to be done over a six day period. He did a half a** job for one day then asked for more money. I said absolutely no! When I asked him for the materials he had purchased with "MY MONEY", he ghosted me. He no longer lives in ******** and now resides in ****** ********. Please, please do not give this scrawny puke your money

This business has not been in business for a decade (check with the ******** Secretary of State business name search). He took money up front via CashApp, installed our mailbox (badly), then left for ********** for supplies. He texted, saying his truck overheated. He had gotten $400 and then $200 (for a total of the quoted $600) from me before he left. I did an Internet search and found the reviews here. (I thought I'd already researched him.) Texted him and said send back the $400 and don't come back. He said "So I don't get a chance to make it up?" and I said no. Just send back the $400 and we'll call it even. The real guy who RAN this business is living in another state and has been for quite awhile.

*******/*********************** is a scammer. I believe he has some experience as a handyman or contractor, but if he finds a target that is gullible enough to front him the money, he disappears with the cash. I stupidly did not ****** his name before hiring him for general handyman work around our house. He quoted me $2000. These are things I have done in the past but I just don't have time for them anymore as I work full-time and have two young children. He told me to take a photo of the invoice, which was probably the first red flag. His invoice does have terms and conditions on the back, which I only noticed after being scammed. He also asked for half of the money up front. Second red flag. I am trying to do the right thing and so I gave him a check for $1000, which he immediately cashed. He did a couple of hours of work the first day, not exceptional but it seemed fine. He was a slow worker, but since it was flat fee I didn't really care how long it took. The second day he called me saying he'd be late. I didn't mind. When he arrived he told me his truck's brakes had failed and he needed to fix them. He asked for another $700 "progress payment" despite only having done a few hours work. I hesitated, but stupidly gave him another check because I'm too trusting. He worked a few more hours that day and left mid-afternoon but asked for money to buy materials. I had most of what he needed but gave him $40 (he pocketed that too).Thursday I had to go into the office and so I waited for him to arrive then left him alone. He worked for a few hours, then I saw him leave on the doorbell camera around noon. It was a holiday weekend so when he didn't show the next day I figured he was taking a long weekend. I texted on Saturday confirming whether he'd be in on Tuesday (the 5th). Never heard another word from him. He just disappeared with my $1700. Of the invoiced items, he did maybe 1/8th of what he was hired to do and left the house in disarray.
