completed on or around 8/14/23. 10/06/23- Lien was filed in court. 10/09/23-

stating Lien has been placed on property 10/16/23- tried numerous times to get
a hold of someone at Honest Abe Roofing, texted & emailed the owner w/ no
response. 10/17/23- drove over to their office in Tampa, only to find no one

This business has since closed and the company that supplied the supplies for
our roof has not been paid for said supplies delivered in August 2023. The
amount for this lien is $6100. The amount of $29,991 was financed and the
finance company has paid them. I would like for them to pay the supplier as
soon as possible and get this lien off of my property. I am also doing this so
that others don't have this happen to them.
Complaint filed 10/17/23: I am formally submitting a complaint and
request assistance regarding a distressing situation that has recently arisen,
involving a roofing contractor, a sub-contractor, finance company and a
resultant lien on my property. The specific details of the situation are as
follows: Parties Involved: Home Owner Honest Abe Roofing Tampa (franchisee
register by Carbon Enterprise Inc.): Roofing contractor ********: Materials
sub-contractor ********: Lender Background: I entered into a contract with
Honest Abe Roofing Tampa for a roofing project on my property. Honest Abe
Roofing Tampa subsequently hired ******** to supply the roofing materials
needed for the project. The Issue: Regrettably, on October 12, 2023 we received
a certified mail from ******** informing us that ******** has not receive the
payment owed to them for their services, despite having already provided the
roofing materials needed to complete the work as per the terms of their
agreement with Honest Abe Roofing Tampa. This non-payment has led ******** to
file a lien on my property and proceed with a lawsuit against Honest Abe
Roofing Tampa, and other homeowners (including myself) as a method to secure
the payment owed. Since the day we received the letter informing us of the lien
placed on our home, we have made numerous attempts to reach Honest Abe Roofing
Tampa by phone and email. All calls went unanswered and no response was
received from the email sent. We contacted Honest Abe Roofing’s corporate
office and were informed that because Honest Abe Roofing Tampa is a franchisee,
the corporate office is not able to provide any assistance. Request for
Assistance: I kindly request your office's assistance in resolving this matter.
I believe that the involvement of your office can facilitate a fair and prompt
resolution, ensuring that ******** receives the payment to which they are
entitled and that the lien on my property is discharged. Thank you
Demand Honest Abe Roofing Tampa to pay the amount $8995.61 to ******** for the
cost of the materials.
