I signed my Teenage daughter up to take the ***************** course from Accurate Driving. This was a 6 week course that is taught online every Saturday for 6 weeks that started on 11/5/2022. Students need to take a total of 30 hours of class time. My daughter completed 4 Saturdays which is 20 hours of class time. We received an email from the Instructor ******************* on 12/3/2022 stating that he is cancelling the last 2 classes on 12/3/2022 and 12/10/2022 and our students will need to retake the entire 30 hours of classes. This is completely unfair to the students who completed 20 hours of **************** classes. The instructor stated that he is refunding us the tuition we paid, however it is not about the money. It is about the time the students spent. I have spoken to the **************************** who regulates the **************** Instructors and found out that ******************* was not in compliance with the **************************** rule of only having 14 kids at a time in the online course. When they caught him he decided to resign and turn in his certification. I am asking the Better Business Bureau to step in and help come to a resolution with the **************************** to allow the students 20 hours of class time completed to transfer over to a new instructor so they can complete the last 10 hours and get their class certificate. It is not fair to make the students start all over and take 30 hours of class time. This would mean they actually are going to take 50 hours of class time.

For health reasons I needed to cancell the last 4 of 12 classes.  On 12-7-2022 I mailed full refunds to all students and families.

Our son took a ****************** Course with Accurate Driving from December of 2021-February 2022. After he completed the written portion of the class, we were able to book 1 class with the driver for the driving instructions portion of the class, which we paid $300.00 for, which was an additional charge to the written portion. The first driving ******* we met with the instructor in a mall parking lot about fifteen miles from our home. It was a difficult first ******* as her instructions as to where to meet her, were tough, and we ended up missing the first 20 minutes of that first ******s. After that ****** was completed, I expressed at that time that I was having a difficult time using their online booking system and asked if I could be sent the link to do so on my phone. The instructor told me she didn't know much about it but would have her husband send me the link. Throughout the months of March and April, I was unable to reach anyone to get that booked. After that, my son graduated from ************ and we went on vacation. Once summer concluded, I reached out to the owner, once again, to ask about how to get this taken care of so that my son could get his hours of driving completed with an instructor. I had several email conversations with the owner, *******************. He reached out to his instructor as well and asked that I keep him updated. What would happen, is he would reach out, the instructor would ask me when we could meet, I would give him times and dates, and then I would hear nothing. Again, I went back to ***** to ask him what we could do (I did this twice). After not hearing anything, I then requested a refund of $300.00 as my son was never given the instruction that I paid for, for the driving portion of the class. I have asked for a refund twice now, and now have been unable to reach anyone. I am getting no response, and with no alternative, made the decision to reach out to the BBB.

    Good morning!

I have an update on my complaint. Ironically, after filing my complaint with the BBB, I received an odd text message from ******************* offering me a class at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, with other information that was equally confusing. (It was 8:30 a.m. in the morning when I received this message). I texted ******************* back and said that I was confused. She called and left a message saying that she was actually trying to reach her daughter, who also has the name *******. She said in that message that she remembered my son ********, and then went on to say that she had sent me a link to the scheduling service for the driving ******s (I never received a link). She wanted to know if I was having any issues. I did not respond, as I am not willing to work with this company anymore. Again, no link, a strange message meant for someone else. I again, do not feel confident working with this company.

The story continued that afternoon, I received a call from ******************, asking about ********, that he remembered him, and to please contact him with three dates that I would be able to connect and schedule ******s. Let me preface this by saying that I have already done this several times. I stated to ****************** that I was going to be in his area several times a week for tutoring and could combine that with the driver's ed ************ If was AFTER this that I never heard a word and requested my money back, and then after no communication, filed a complaint with the BBB.

I am adding this to the complaint and still requesting a full refund for the driving portion due to the following:

I was only contacted by the company after filing a complaint with the BBB. The communication was strange, and quite frankly, disingenuous.

****************** contacts me requesting dates to set up a time to complete the instruction, the problem with that is that I have already done this and given them a multitude of opportunities to meet us where it was convenient for them. Additionally, the issue is that my son's tutoring is now done on that side of town, and in order to complete these ******s, I have to drive ***** minutes in traffic to have my son attend. Not only am I not willing to do this, I am also concerned that after I set up a time, I will not be contacted and I will have to start at square one, which I am not willing to do.

I am requesting the full refund because the one and only driving ****** my son did receive was shortened due to the fact that we were unable to find ******************* on the day of the ******. We had never been to the mall where she asked us to meet her, and we were having a terrible time finding her. I don't feel as if my son benefited in any way from that first 30 or 40 minutes.

Finally, I am now not comfortable at all with my son driving with this company when we have had this dispute. I do not feel that we would get any value out of it, and quite frankly it causes me tremendous concern to put him into a car with someone that I have filed a complaint against.

Again, I just want the $300.00 back for the driving part of this class. I have no interest whatsoever in continuing any ******s with Accurate Driving School, LLC.

One final note. When signing up for this course, I based it on my location, assuming that the driving part would be close to my home. The written portion was online.  It was not until after my son took the written portion that we found out that we would have to drive ***** minutes in traffic (which can sometimes mean up to an hour both ways, depending on the traffic conditions)  to meet up with a driver's ed **************** at a building, not even at a business..but in a very busy mall parking lot.  I do think that this needs to be made clear on any advertising this company offers. I would have chosen another company if I had known that it was going to be such a long distance from our home.

I appreciate your continued help in this matter.

    All of my very best,
    *******************************

I wanted to let the BBB know that there has been a resolution to this matter.  After receiving a note from the BBB stating that they had not heard back from the company, I tried one more time to reach out to them.  This time, I received this note from the Owner, ************. (below)  True to his word, ************ sent me $314.00 today via paypal.  I want to rescind my complaint, and also give him an excellent rating for resolving this issue with integrity.  Thank you so much for your help in this matter.

    All of my best,

    *******

    Aloha,

******* and ******* are subcontractors.  I forwarded each of your emails to them asking that they follow up with you.  Obviously, they did not do a proper job.  You are absolutely right to make a complaint to the BBB and request a refund.  I apologize, their lack of communication in this instance is not acceptable.  Please fill out the attached form and email it to me.  We have a No Refund Policy stated on our website; however, your situation is exceptional and warrants a refund.  The form is to protect us from any future client seeking a frivolous refund.

I saw an email from BBB in my Junk Email folder that I did not open.  If I am not sure of an email's origin, I trust Outlook placing in my Junk folder and delete the email.
