I want Express Scripts back. Optum RX is the worse. They call all the time and always an automated voice to let you know medicine is being prepared, medicine is shipped, medicine is delivered, medicine is due. I don't need to be reminded. I dislike this companyReview from Mars C

EVERY person I spoke to at Optum RX gave me a different response. I spent over 6 hours over several weeks trying to get a resolution. I am extremely disappointed!Review from Betty D

I have only been with OptumRx for 6 months and have had more trouble than I've ever had with any pharmacy. Specifically, I take an antidepressant and both times it was ordered there have been issues with the prescription. I have been OUT of them now for three weeks when the prescription was sent nearly two weeks ago and am not in a good place because of it. Not only that but the e-mails they send DO NOT HAVE THE MEDICATION NAME in the e-mail and no way for the patient to "opt in" for it. Finally found out yesterday through a phone call that they have to make that change. WTF? I'm outa here and will NEVER use them again.Review from Nolan G

I have never--EVER--had a more frustrating experience with a company. Ever. I can't emphasize enough how horrible an experience I've had with OptumRX. I have been trying to get reimbursed for medication I was forced to pay out of pocket, due to AN ERROR ON THEIR END, for 5 MONTHS now. I have submitted multiple reimbursement forums, had my doctors office contact them, and been on the phone with them myself for easily 12+ hours over the course of this time. There has been no change. Every time I call, it goes exactly the same: they apologize for charging me and for failing to issue my reimbursement, put me on hold while they "try to figure it out", explain a new reason why the reimbursement didn't work and the new thing I have to do to receive my it. And when I try their suggestion, it doesn't work, for some new problem they didn't account for. What's more frustrating is that customers are not given access to the phone number of the claims department that handles reimbursements (no idea why--probably because they don't want to issue the money and hope customers give up on asking) providing only a PO Box to send your forums to. Theres no one to speak with, theres no one to help you. Convinced at this point they are just trying to scam me out of my money. I have never left a review for anything before, but I really wish I could rate this 0 starts. This company is a disorganized mess and it is only a matter of time before they go out of business.Review from Jim L.

Optumrx Mail order is slow to deliver after they get the script from the doctor. They don't carry generic on some of my meds so I have to pay higher price for name brand. One example is Xarelto. I recently had an order for diabetes supplies. They called or sent me text messages 4 times between Friday and Sunday. All were the same message I answered on Friday. So they delayed t h e shipment of my meds. I am not happy. I did not have this issue with the old mail order supplier before being forced to use this company. Maybe I should try Goodrx and compare. I cannot understand most of the people in phone support. That also makes it harder to deal with. I don't believe phone support is in the **.Review from Melissa R

They keep denying the prior auth for a drug I was already taking and was working well for me before I had to change health coverage. This is for my diabetes and I feel really crappy without the medication. Easily getting Short of breath, fluid in my ankles, legs, hands, face. Low energy/feel tired and lethargic. Cannot think/perform my job for my employer as well as I can when my sugar is under control and I'm thinking clearly. If you are weighing your insurance coverage options, be sure this company is Not your PBM.Review from Anthony R

If you're a patient, then stay away from this corporation!!!! They bought the medical group I used to go to for 20 years, and turned it to junk. For my own piece of mind; I left a wonderful, compassionate, excellent doctor, so I could get away from the absolute incompetence in communication from Optum. Unanswered patient portals are the norm. The patient portal has the nerve to tell you to "wait up to 48 hours for a reply." I've sent messages WEEKS AGO, and STI LL haven't heard from them about helping me get my CT scan results to tell me if I need surgery or not! Do you want to even ARRANGE a meeting with your doctor? Good luck in getting a confirmation on that meeting! I requested through that same ineffective patient portal a meeting with my doctor. No response yet. That was also about 10 days ago! How about the surgeons they refer you to? Well the surgeon who looked over my test results doesn't see patients after 4. So, he arranges "zoom" meetings. Then, I waited 50 minutes (no exaggeration) on the phone for him to appear. What happened when he appeared? HE COULDN'T HEAR ME! My microphone was on and fine. So he told me that he'd call me back. That was 2 weeks ago, and still nothing from him. Run, run, RUN from your medical group if Optum takes over! Their customer service is trash! Oh! I also had to wait 5 days for a prescription to be filled; whereas I never waited more than 2 days (and that was because those 2 times happened because I made the request late on Friday!). Optum runs a company that gives excellent "customer NO service"!! If you like waiting, being treated like a number, and hanging in limbo for important test results; then fall right in. Otherwise, do like I said and RUN from them to any group that's not owned by Optum. I hope they go bankrupt, and I hope you avoid the uncaring incompetence that I experienced from day one of their take over of my once *************** group.Review from Tonya C

I have been attempting to transfer my prescription to Optum RX for 2 months. I have spent several hours on the phone with them and have had no luck thus far. They have refused to do a second override with the local pharmacy, and have insisted I wait more days without my medication. The first representative I spoke with was rude, combative and continued to speak over me while I tried to explain my situation. I then requested to speak with her supervisor and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. I do not believe I was actually transferred to a supervisor, but merely another phone clerk. So very disappointed with my company's decision to use Optum RX, and will voice my opinion at the next meeting.Review from Sean V

UHC Group has zero understanding of their own systems. I've been trying to order medicine online for the last two weeks, order fails in the final review of the order each time. It is obvious that they do not monitor their own systems for these failed orders to apply fixes. We pay a lot of money per year to attain this level of garbage service & being told I now have to wait three days for a phone call back when it's fixed...? Additionally, being asked by some kid with their website tech support if he can order my medicines for me... Like I can somehow trust a stranger to make the order happen? Not with my health, UHC. Telling your customers to use the website that doesn't work and telling me some kid knows the difference between compaziene and coedine AND IS NOT TRAINED TO BE A PHARMACIST doesn't strike confidence that UHC knows what's going on with their customers.This is why people want to have socialized medicine when you leave customers hanging like UHC Group. I will vote every time to get this to happen every election.
