Alert
On March 17, 2020, Better Business Bureau recognized a
pattern of complaints from consumers regarding delivery and customer service
issues. Consumers allege they order and pay for kittens from Royal Munchkin
Kittens website, and after several weeks they are asked to pay additional fees
for shipping or an upgraded carrier. Consumers allege they never receive the
kittens and the company is unresponsive.
Better Business Bureau learned that Royal Munchkin Kittens
does not operate out of the address they provide on their website. In addition,
Royal Munchkin Kittens is also operating as Robert Kim Royal Munchkin Kittens.
These businesses are not certified breeders and they are not associated with
the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA).
Better Business Bureau reached out to Royal Munchkin Kittens
to address the consumer complaints, however as of March 17, 2020, they have not
responded.
Consumers can file a complaint with Better Business Bureau
at: https://www.bbb.org/local-bbb/bbb-northwest-pacific and the Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov/complaint.
