    BBB unable to locate business
In April, 2021; I was arrested in St. John’s County, Florida on a false charge of battery. The charge was immediately dismissed in court and I was exonerated of any wrongdoing. Several months later, I googled myself and found my mugshot and personal information made public online by a site called **************************. I am a teacher and professional and I this website has potentially threatened my career. On the site, a phone number, address, and contact link has been provided to remove mugshots. I have called continuously without answer, emailed continuously without a response, and had certified mail to their address returned. I have pursued legal action and even contacted a defamation removal service which is unable to remove my photo and information due to not having an existing URL. It seems that this business does not exist!!! Pursuant to Florida Law, statute 1046, a person can request for a mugshot and personal information to be removed from a website when there is a written attempt through email and certified letter. If the request is not granted, civil action may occur after ten days. I am writing to you to file a complaint against this company, which is a private company, for defamation of character and the possibility that they might not even exist. The website did not even follow up with recording my dismissal, just a false charge. I sent them all of the documentation that I have and feel that this is not a matter for public record any longer, but is intentionally doing harm. I do not give them permission to use my photo or personal information and have no way of contacting them. I suspect that the phone number and address provided is not real. A liscensed business should be legitimate, ethical, have a contact number and address, as well as customer service. Can you please help me with contacting this company or investigate the existence of it so I can have my page removed?
