    My feline died Aug 14 2024. I called Furry Friends Funerals and they came right over. The cost of the service was $269.85 After looking into this business and finding multiple addresses with different phone numbers having the same operator answer when each was dialed and after looking into the three (3) addresses given here in ********* with no mention of Furry Friends and one not even available. I called ******** and asked her to return my feline on August 16 2024. I have made multiple calls since and have told her this morning I am going to file a police report if my feline is not returned to me. Furry Friends advertises as number #1 as a pet funeral service.

    We understand that the customer is having a difficult time managing her grief upon losing her beloved pet and have tried to be as understanding as possible. When her pet was retrieved on 08/14/2024 we informed her that we would take approximately two weeks for processing, packaging, and safe return home. She has proceeded to call our staff members over a dozen times and threaten legal action, even though we are well within the two-week time frame. We must ensure the dignity and safety of all the pets in our care. Once we have taken a pet into our custody, we are unable to return the pet until the cremation process has been completed. She has been informed of the process and that we cannot return her pet until the cremation process is completed. We advised that we will complete the process as quickly as possible while adhering to our high standards of service. 
    The customer did request the return of her pet on 08/18/2024 (not 08/16 as mentioned in the complaint) and was informed that the process has already begun. As for the address issue mentioned, she was invited to come drop off her pet at our office on ****** and changed to a retrieval appointment instead at her request.

    I am rejecting this response because: Furry Friends does not appear at all to be a legitimate business.  Photos are of 3838 Raymert ***** also 3069 *. ****** ***** and a car that resembles the vehicle that picked up my feline on 8/14/2024.  It was parked at the 3069 *. ****** address.  Also ******** told me if I were to drop my feline off she instructed me to do so at *****************************************. I will be going searching for their third address at Furry Friends Funerals 452 E. Silverado 89185.  I want my feline returned to me and if they do have the equipment for this business of pet cremation they would have freezers to store the remains.  I have found that it is a 6 day process unlike what Furry Friends Funerals has told me 14 days two weeks. I do not trust Furry Friends Funerals, I do not find them at all legitimate business and I insist on retrieving my feline.

    When I spoke to ******** last, August 19 2024, I was insistent that she have the feline brought back here and she said that she couldn't because she had 48 cremations to deliver.  
    I found this information on the web although it is dated.

    I had phoned ******** on August 18 2024 and asked for a return of the feline and she told me that her employee was celebrating his wedding anniversary that evening so he wouldn't be available to receive me if I drove to 3069 or 3067 *. ****** ***** to pick up the feline's remains. I had made the call after 4:00 p.m. but no latter than 4:30 p.m..  I had put in a complaint at the bank on the transaction and they have credited my account with the $269.85.  I did so on the morning of August 19, 2024 and proceeded to file a complaint with Better Business Bureau.  If Furry Friends Funerals does not have the remains of the feline in question I would like to know where I can find and retrieve the feline.

    I will have no problem paying Furry Friends Funeral if they return the feline.  There are four (4) days left in Furry Friends Funeral promise.  I will make sure they are paid if I receive their promised package.

    I received the feline ashes on 8/28/2024.  Date of cremation was posted on the bag as 8/24/2024.  
    Perhaps the color and consistency of the differences in the photo demonstrates diet, health and that of the feline cremation process given to the two different felines.  The odor was the same.
    I will be releasing ****** hold on the cost of cremation to Furry Friends Funerals.
    Thank you Better Business Bureau in mediating this situation.
