BBB promotes truth in advertising by contacting advertisers whose claims conflict with BBB Code of Advertising.  These claims may come to our attention from our internal review of advertising, consumer complaints and competitor challenges.  BBB asks advertisers to prove their claims, change ads to make offers more clear to consumers, and remove misleading or deceptive statements. 

On September 20, 2022, BBB contacted StemLight Center regarding advertised claimed results and benefits of stem cell therapy.  StemLight Center advertised claims:

“StemLIGHT Holistic Wellness offers Regenerative Medicine treatments using
Human umbilical cord Tissue Products for homologous purpose.”

“Regenerative tissue can be effective in treating pain or injury to: Muscles,
Tendons, Ligaments, Bone, Cartilage.”

“Regenerative tissue address a wide variety of conditions and promote
continued wellness. They can:
• Speed up the length of time it takes injuries and wounds to heal
• Repair osteoarthritis joints
• Reduce pain and lessen the need for medications
• Increase joint function
• Improve sleep quality
• Reduce muscle compensations and thus the risk of future injury
• Decrease nerve damage and repair nerves
• Increase collagen production
• Generate new heart and blood vessel tissue”

“Regenerative tissue therapy can also provide an overall improvement in your well
being by decreasing inflammation and deter the development of conditions such as
heart disease and dementia.”

“Regenerative tissue can be effective in treating pain or injury to:
• Muscles
• Tendons
• Ligaments
• Bone
• Cartilage

For example, regenerative tissue can be used to heal hip pain, knee injuries, and other joint problems. In addition, the cells have an immune-modulatory effect, so
they can fight chronic autoimmune conditions, such as Lupus or rheumatoid arthritis.”

“StemLight Center only administers the highest quality FDA Approved IND, Human Umbilical Cord Tissue Product to our patients.”

According to the Federal Trade Commission, “no studies have established that stem cells cure, treat, or reduce the severity of diseases or health conditions in humans.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) also states “regenerative medicine therapies have not been approved for the treatment of any orthopedic condition,
such as osteoarthritis, tendonitis, disc disease, tennis elbow, back pain, hip pain, knee pain, neck pain, or shoulder pain.” https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-bloodbiologics/consumers-biologics/important-patient-and-consumer-information-aboutregenerative-medicine-therapies
Furthermore, regenerative medicine products require FDA licensure/approval to be marketed to consumers. These products require FDA oversight in a clinical trial.

BBB Code of Advertising states, claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy, or results for a product or service should be based on recent and
competent testing or other objective data, and that upon request, advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made.

BBB requested objective, competent, and reliable scientific evidence substantiating claims regarding stem cell therapy and other similar claims or discontinuing the advertisements if substantiation could not be provided.

StemLight Center failed to respond to BBB's requests. 

StemLight Center's website also advertises they offer Vortex-Fusion, R3 Stem cell, and Venus Versa Products.

StemLight Center also advertises they offer Amare Global products for gut health/mental wellness, Lifewave products stem cell activation patches (advertising
claims on https://lifewave.com/stemlight), StemFoods Hollistics products for stem cell activation nutrition, frequency therapy, Collagen/HA Nutraceuticals by Modere
products and Micronutrient supplements by Engage The Micronutrient Company.

BBB Code of Advertising states, claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy, or results for a product or service should be based on recent and
competent testing or other objective data, and upon request, advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made.

BBB requested StemLight Center to provide any FDA 510(K) premarket notification or information about the products advertised are FDA-approved or to discontinue the
advertisement.  

As of October 21, 2022, StemLight Center failed to respond to BBB's requests to substantiate, Modify, or discontinue the advertised claims.
