    Worst purchasing experience of my life. Had to pay in full prior to delivery and we are still waiting to receive what we paid for 10 months later. Be aware that the interior trim is pressed cardboard not normal wood. Absolutely the worst workmanship I have ever seen. Lots of promises but even more excuses. I would NOT recommend dealing with these people.

    First off, we apologize for the frustration you’re feeling with your new house. This is not something we take lightly, but would like to address the items you identified in your review. We last had our service technician at your site on Monday, February 28 where all outstanding warranty items were complete with the exception of your dishwasher panel as this part is on backorder. With that being said, your dishwasher is fully functional, but we understand that frustration you are feeling in regards to this. Unfortunately there are major delays in receiving parts due to shortages across the country, but we are working our hardest to have work completed as quickly as possible and do appreciate your continued patience on this matter. We do have our warranty paperwork from February 28’s service call that acknowledges that you were satisfied with all work complete. You purchased a spec home of one of our show homes that you had walked through with your Housing Consultant at our Sales Centre. The home you walked through has the exact same fit and finishings of the house you purchased, which you were happy with at the time of sale. Again, we apologize that you are disappointed with the interior workmanship, however, the fit and finish of the home is the same as our show home that you walked through and purchased off of.

    Yes, your service techs were out on February 28 but we are STILL waiting for delivery of the unit we purchased and paid for in full, prior to delivery as per your sales agreement, which is only 10 months since delivery, NOT ACCEPTABLE. The technicians are very good at what they do too bad your scheduling is so lousy. Sure, we are happy with the service work, other than how long it takes to get anything done through JANDEL. Still very disappointed with the quality of the workmanship of the factory and the lack of true concern from Jandel management. Even in your response there are more & more excuses for a very bad product. Here is an example of something to be aware of: we were asked if we wanted "Soft Close" on the cupboard doors & drawers, we said YES and there was an extra charge for that. The problem was that we did not say on ALL of them, who would have thought that would be required, not us. One of many poor craftmanship from the factory is we had ordered and paid for a garburator, it was installed but NOT correctly, luckily we were watching closely the first time we ran the dishwasher as it could not drain... We had to install the drain correctly ourselves or WAIT for months for a JANDEL Tech to come out to do it correctly. We have a long list, way to many to list here, of sloppy workmanship. JANDEL's response was "We will make everything right, trust us, but we are STILL waiting. Also, I beg to differ that the unit we got has the exact fit & finish as the show home we visited. I am pretty sure you have never seen our unit but I know the salesman has and he indicated to us that the unit had inferior workmanship from the factory. He indicated that he would get things corrected but even he ran into the JANDEL road blocks of excuses. BE AWARE if you are dealing with JANDEL HOMES Ltd.
