    The WORST hotel I have ever seen!!!! I made a reservation on Booking for 1 night at this hotel upon my arrival in Calgary. I arrived on site, and the receptionist refused me access to my room because I only had my credit card on my phone and not a physical card. She clearly doesnt know how to talk to customers, speaking to me in an arrogant manner. She told me to contact Booking for a refund, and when that was done, the establishment REFUSED the refund request sent by Booking, even though it was them who denied me access knowing that I had already paid for my night.

    2 weeks ago I had the worst ever experience at this place. Rude and they have a cage around their desk like a jail cell? I wonder why!?!?!? Anyway I Booked over the phone with a 3rd party booking agency, got a really good deal and i used my prepaid credit card and got a reservation number 3 days before arriving at the hotel. Arrived at the hotel the day I was scheduled to check in to only be told that my credit card, the same one i used to book the room with over the phone, was not an acceptable payment card because they referred to it as a pre paid and not legitimate to be used at their hotel. I have used this card at many 5 star hotels and many other places with no issues but it is not good enough at this 1 star place? I had no other credit card to pay for my reservation with so i left. I went down the road to the super 8 and booked a room no problem!! The next day I looked at my bank account to find that Canada's Best Value Inn on ******* trail had charged me for the room anyway?! So let me understand this, my card was not good enough to be used to check in and get an actual room but was good enough to be stolen from to pay for the room I never got to stay in anyway??? Avoid this hotel. Fraudulent activity at its finest there. The Better Business Bureau have been contacted on this matter. I would recommend anyone who has been burned by this hotel to report this to the BBB as soon as possible. My bank has issued them a chargeback and if they dont reply to this then I was told Id get a refund of this amount once the investigation has been exhausted.

    *********! Booked a room online with my credit card for two nights, reached the hotel at 5pm to find out that they will not accept my electronic credit card or cash for the $100 damage deposit. The font clerk would not allow me to check in, requested refund, was informed that I needed to contact ********* for refund. Contacted ********* who forwarded requested email for refund for managers approval and manager refused refund. I tried contacting manager through email, phone calls, for two days, with no response. How is this legal! They stole my money, I contacted credit card company to claim a dispute, see where it goes from there! STAY AWAY FROM HOTEL AT ALL COSTS! SLEEP ON THE STREETS IF YOU HAVE TO!

    I made a reservation for my son at ******'s Best Value Inn on ****** Trail SW. There are no other motels due to the stampede. As soon as we opened the door and walked up the stairs the receptionist said you white guys this is my bread and butter, I deserve respect: I said that we just wanted to check-in. She wanted my ID and CC to prove I lived in Calgary and was not going to stay in her establishment. After getting copies of everyone's ID and CC information she started again with her anti-white and was swearing and cussing, I dont know why. I told her to be quiet and just check in on my son. Called me a ******* ***** and told me to get out. As. was leaving she hollered, (my son was still standing in front of her) that I was a ******* racist ********** and she called my deceased mother a ******* ***** Now I see my credit card has been charged twice but one reversal.How can I not have a negative attitude facing this type of crap? I have contacted Master card for a reversal however it going to take up to October 24 before I can confirm Mastercard reversal. I feel this business should be inspected.********* *****

    If only it was possible to give 0 stars. I lodged there between 26-29 June 2024. About 4 days after I checked out they took 500 dollars out of my credit card just like that. When complained they LIED about smoking in the room. I asked for evidence she said "I dont have to give any" and she got very rude and hung up never to take my calls again. There is almost an identical scam in this comments section from recently as well. They do it because they believe they can.

    I think this company is a joke. Firstly they wouldn't accept my M********* debit card to pay for the deposit they wanted a major credit card or 500$ deposit. Well I wasn't even able to physically use the room so I called booking sight to request a refund and was told that I had to wait for hotel to get back to booking company. After a day the hotel got back to the booking company said they weren't giving me a refund yet it states that a full refund would be issued.

    After long drive of 12 hour across province I extremely tired and went look for motel near to spend the night and I made a reservation at this motel on arrival on feb 25 7:05pm then after I got in to the room it smells extremely bad like dead and went out back to grab some food after like 4 hours went back to the room when I tried to sleep very bad smell came out of the pillow to my mouth and threw up got sick head aches! Then I decided to check out and find another Hotel again. The. I went to reception and I told her that I want to talk to manager about the situation she said she cant help me because manager is sleeping not even willing to help me out to change room maybe! I got charged 86 dollars for that bad smell room and 100 dollars damage deposit. She said she cannot reimburse me anything cant do anything for me with poor customer service! I left and spent the night sleeping in my car!

    It was the same weekend wen fire victims were being evacuated so this is how this motel is supporting the most vulnerable who came to Calgary. But My dota and I went to Calgary n stayed at this motel n I paid $325/night n for 2 nights I paid $651 . This is a ghetto motel where no human to stay because it is totally filthy n infested with mouse n cockroaches n other bugs. The entrance stairwell n hallways were dirty n sticky as if it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. The door knob to the room was broken n a chair to hold it in place as it didn’t lock from inside. The toilet did not flush n we used the toilet paper n put it in the garbage . The receptionist told me to fix the toilet. The spray was broken n the whole bathroom flooded n called the receptionist n she said can’t be fixed until Tuesday n this is Friday am complaining. Queen size bed was feeling hollow in the middle n I let my dota sleep on the bed so she could rest well so she could participate in the Cariwest Calgary next day. I slept on the floor. Asked for extra blankets n pillows n receptionist said not until tomorrow, once the maids come in. Air conditioner was broken n heat was fully on n I tried opening the glass door n the screen door was broken so the bugs came in. The balcony was so dirty that the couple of white chairs were looking black n sticky. It is the filthiest place I have ever seen or stayed because they won’t refund n they won’t give me the owners name. This motel should be inspected n closed due to below the standard of sanitation n condition n also the ***** in prices.

    This business is a total *****!!! I have had to get the Police involved!!!I was late for my reservation due to travel. They refused to adjust my reservation and charged me for those days I wasn't there. Then when I did arrive they said they had canceled my reservation. I had to threaten to call the police. The desk attendant kept calling the manager and refused to speak in English. Then they said they would make an "exception". I paid with a cash load credit ********** so they insisted on a $400 damage deposit PLUS a special service fee of $32 to do in immediate inspection in order to process the refund!!! While staying there I had to travel yet again so there was another 4 nights I did not stay though paid in full.When I checked out, they claimed I was checking out a day early. Then when I checked my card they double charged my ********** for the a night I had not included in my reservation. I explained it must be a mistake as I was already a guest but they insisted "NO REFUNDS"Then they refused to perform the immediate inspection and the refund. Upon the police arriving, the manager insisted I leave in order to speak with them. She told CPS it would be refunded at the end of the day and I would see the refund in 4-5 business days, I explained the payment to the officers, saying the refund would be immediate as it is a prepaid card.I've since called and they refuse to speak with me as I had the police involved. That the refund is in process.I has now been almost A MONTH!!! STILL NO REFUND.THE ROOMS LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE WEBSITE!!! THEY ARE OLD AND DIRTY. EVEN HAVE MOUSE TRAPS IN THE ROOMS!!! MY MINI FRIDGE HAD SO MUCH ICE BUILD UP I COULD CLOSE THE DOOR!!! THE "COFFEE" MAKER WAS BROKEN AND HELD TOGETHER WITH DUCT TAPE!!! THEY ALLOW SMOKING OF ALL SUBSTANCES ON THE BALCONIES SO COULD NOT OPEN THE SLIDING DOORS!!! THE "RENOVATIONS" WHICH WERE PROBABLY DONE 10YRS AGO ARE DONE VERY POORLY!!!THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!!

    Beware of this motel as they have fake pictures on Go Splitty booking agency. I booked a 3 night stay at this motel in May and when I arrived to check in there was an older couple in the office voicing their dismay about the room they were given. After listening to their dismay and them asking for a refund for over 10 mins the clerk finally gave me my room.Upon entering the dimmly lit room I noticed the wood floor felt sticky and the room had a foul musty odor. I went to inspect the bed and found stains on the sheets and cover and the matteress felt and looked like it was 40 plus years old.I immediately I went back to the office and said to the clerk that I could not accept the room I was offered as it was not up to standards that one would expect to find in a city such as *******. I asked for a refund but the clerk said that I would have to contact the booking agent ** *******. I left very dissappointed and drove into the night in search for a hotel and fortunately I was able to find one.The following day I tried to contact the management of ******** Best Value Inn and have been now trying for over 2 weeks to speak to someone regarding fraudulent activity advertizing pictures of rooms that do not look at all like the room that I was offered. So far no one has returned my calls.I have contacted ** ******* regarding this matter and said the pictures on their site were not the same as the room I was offered but they did not seem to care in the least and were unwilling to issue a refund. Basically I have been ******* by ** ******* and the hotel and from what I read in the reviews now I am just one of many... Beware!!
