    I have been trying to contact Shaw since my 90 year old mother was placed in LTC to cancel her television service early January 2025. With no success I have even wrote a letter to cancel and still no one has returned any calls or responded. I have advised I will not pay anymore money til I have been contacted. The service has sucked.

    I have been trying for 5 days, sitting on hold for multiple hours per day to cancel my fathers service. I havent been able to reach anyone.

    We have been customers for 27 years. Recently we have had alot of troube with the receiver. We cut down trees as asked-no beter. We decided to cancel.I was expected a chq for overpayment-about $60 .Instead I got abill for non returned equipment- the tracking number shows it was delivered. Sept 23. By the way, whne we took the eceiver to the post office to send, they told us to hold on the our receipt and tracking number-that this company had a habit of saying they didn't get their equipment back-apparently very ******* loyalty to customer at all either.

    When we first started up with Shaw things were great we outright bought our receivers because we had the option and it made more sense since then R***** has taken over my bill was trying to be put up as well as the receivers I had received in replacement for an upgrade R***** tried to charge me for and I decided it wasn't fair so I canceled my service with Shaw because of R***** and returned for receivers unfortunately one turned out to be one of my old ones I asked for that back as I paid for it cash and they refused to return this to me so I refuse to return their fourth box and the outcome became a threat to collections and all I'm asking for is our receiver box back and they will not send it back.

    I called to cancel my parents internet and SatelliteTV Service. I explained that my father,94 and Mother, 91 unfortunately are going into a nursing home. It took at least 45 minutes to an hour to cancel. Just terrible customer service. On hold over and over. The other frustrating part as well was ******* says you will be charged an extra $15 per month over and above your monthly price of the contract you have with us until it expires. You cant cancel, you are under a contract. So on top of the ridiculous cost of the internet and satellite my parents, who are on a fixed income now they have to pay an extra $300 plus their monthly bill that they are not able to use. This company needs to do some best business practices because this is just a money grab. Sometimes thinking out side the box and making decisions that make good business sense for consumer service are better than poor corporate decisions. You would think that there would be some type of alternative choice towards the customer because of the issue at hand. Elderly going into a nursing home. But he did say if they had died, Shaw would have waived the cancellation fee. Isnt that special! ??

    I have been a ShawDirect customer for 10+ years. Since ****** took them over, it has been nothing but a disaster. Makes me wonder if the mafia took them over.I have been having trouble with the few channels that I actually watch. After 6:30 in the evening, I get this "Receiver has lost contact with the satellite". The technician came out three times and nothing was done. All of a sudden I received a check in the mail refunding my payment. They then cancelled the ** service. I have spent the last 1 1/2 hour trying to get it reinstated, talking to at least 6 people. They told me I had to pay 3 months in advance, which I did through a credit card. Then an agent came on saying they needed to do a credit check and it would be at least 3 days in order for my service to be resumed. I am trying to locate someone within their organization to get some answers. I am truly glad I am not an investor in this disfunctional organization.

    We upgraded as required, but we're now on our 3rd HDPVR830 and are still having issues. To varying degrees the receivers "loose track of the hard drive". At least that is what it says it is searching for! I have spent untold hours waiting and being passed from one person to another.

    Our satellite TV service has been down this morning. I tried all the usual troubleshooting measures, but nothing worked. Around 10:00 a.m. we got partial service back on a few channels but most channels still show the error message: "Receiver has lost satellite service." Obviously, if we are receiving some channels the satellite receiver is picking up limited service.To resolve the issue, I tried phoning their 800 number but the line was endlessly busy. So, I went online and tried using their chat support. I'm still waiting (2 hrs. and 15 mins., now) and have received no further response from the "bot."For the exorbitant price we pay for the few channels we actually watch, there should be better service when requested. This infantile attitude of ignoring a customer's request for service is outrageous business practice!

    Since ****** took over Shaw DIrect Satellite we have been having problems with our receivers (and we have been with Shaw for over 20 years now with no problems in those 20 years). We have recently received 4 new receivers in the past month with the same problem (they reboot at least 10 times a day, not funny when you are watching a football game or a hockey games that is in overtime). I have phoned them at least 10 times now and no one knows what the hell is going on. All they say is that there must be a problem with the hardware in the receivers - but come on receivers have the same problem. So they keep sending me receivers and receivers. Some day the problem will get fixed, I hope. Janice P
