SUBJECT: OFFENSIVE AND UNPROFESSIONAL I was called an "A..HOLE" three times by the technician at the **** tent in the Superstore parking lot on ******************** here in *********. The technician was a blue-eyed, husky, bald man . He quoted me $100 to repair a small chip. I then went to the website and saw that it should've been $65. I returned to the tent to show the technician that there was a price difference. He became very offended and called me an a****** three times and took he a picture of my license plate and made a threat of reporting me. ??? I was in disbelief! Did this really happen???SUNDAY, OCT 20/24DECO Windshield Repair Response

Fraudulent activity! I was sent an invoice via email showing a repair done in ******* using my Deco Windshield Repair Plan. I reside in B.C. and have B.C. licence plates that were on the invoice. The service tech has to verify the license plate when any service is applied to a plan. The signature also looked very similar to mine but was clearly not mine. I immediately called Deco and was told they would look into this and get back to me. A few days later I received a email apologizing for the mistake. I dont think this was a mistake at all I think it was absolutely **********. In any case I requested my licence plate and personal information be completely disassociated with this service . I was told that they would not be able to change the receipt and they were required by law to keep it. Apparently, they are willing to submit false information to the government for tax purposes such as in this case where they are submitting a receipt that states I am the payee when they have admitted to me a mistake was made. If a mistake with my personal information was made I expect it to be fixed. I immediately cancelled my plan with Deco Windshield Repair and requested they delete any and all personal and vehicle information they have regarding me. I do not feel that they protect the personal information we provide them such as credit card and vehicle information. Also, upon learning my information was compromised they did nothing to help me instead there are now a false service record that exits with regard to my car which I am very upset about since they admitted their mistake . I would stay away from this business. There are trusted glass shops out there that would at least put the customer before a need to have someone to bill, even if its not the correct person to bill, just to satisfy the year end audit.Review from Janet J

THE 1 Star is due to company practice, ethics! regarding Automatic renewal of a 'phantom' to me, yearly renewal charged to your credit card? WHAT? 2 Chip repairs were done. last November, 2023 I believe, all ok with the repair (just under 1 calendar year later now) HOWEVER....... I just received an email regarding a subscription renewal to their services ( to be charged to my credit card that I originally used for the repairs) To my knowledge, I did NOT sign anything related to a 'yearly subscription', and certainly don't recall any conversation with the repair rep in this regard. Services were more expensive (about $20 more for first chip + more for 2nd chip the rep 'found') than the company I usually go to - but, I was worried the chips would spread in the cold Alberta November weather, DECO was 'there' while I was food shopping, & convenient at the time. CANCELLING the upcoming SEPT??? renewal, charges, was very confusing! & time consuming. A number of on line sites (Initial renewal email said 'hit the reply button to respond' kinda thing - really!? Email came back as NOREPLY email as sent) After a number of searches, different access routes, then 2 different access codes required, I finally found the 'member portal', obtained a log in code, figured out where to click to cancel/change status, and it now shows 'suspended 'account. Sigh. We'll see what happens end of the month. Haven't received a 'cancellation' confirmation/ reply yet. I WILL head to CONSUMER AFFAIRS IF ANYTHING further SHOWS ON MY CREDIT CARD FROM THIS COMPANY. Won't use these folks or recommend them to anyone else due to this (in my mind, deception) But it is TOO BAD for the workers doing the repairs, they're just looking for a paying job. and did do a good job on my windshield chips. I guess if you need to use them, use cash? and do NOT give any EMAIL or other personal information?Review from Chris W

Showed up with a small chip in my windshield, left to go to the bank while the technician was repairing it and I came back and there was a full crack. I would never use this service again.Review from Stuart C

I went to **** for a window repair and I have regretted it since. The plan they speak about signing you up to doesn't tell you that you have to chase them down to cancel. I called, e-mailed and they didn't respond back. They put a token title on your credit card and you can't get away from them charging you, even with a new card number. So cancelling your credit card or calling it stollen will still not stop them. Then your fighting in a dispute with the bank credit card and the **** business. They claimed to me that I didn't dispute it within 30 days, but they also didn't send me an e-mail that they were charging me for the plan. So you can't get a reversal of the charges or your credit card removed from their attack. It took two years to get them on the phone to cancel the plan, if it actually is cancelled. Very sad practice of a business towards the customers.Review from Lorna D

Really my review is less than a one star. As so many here have complained DECO did an Auto renewal without my consent. My understanding it was only for a year. Also the cc number I had used with them had been compromised after my windshield repair and so I had to get a new card. Because I had a new number I did not try to cancel DECO. They somehow got my new number and used it to auto renew.Review from Peter L

THEY WRECKED MY TESLA!! Total disaster!!!Pulled up to pop up tent at **************. Nice repair guy told me it would take about 10 minutes to fix a small chip.Poor guy not properly trained on Teslas.I come back its not fixed yet but he is working on it.I get in car. Climate control automatically acitivates. As he is working on the small chip an 18 inch crack develops. Blames tesla AC for temp difference.Feels bad for not telling me to turn off climate control.Takes full responsibility but next two layers of management will do nothing then say he fixed the 18 inch crack for free. The crack is still there right in front of the passengers view.Total disaster. They should replace the windshield.I wish I had seen these reviews.Review from Helga K.

All DECO Windshield Repair want is to get that credit card information and account number in the name of a "repair plan." What happens next will be years of charges you did not authorize. Suddenly a chip to the window of your car will become a national fraud scheme you fell victim to. How are they still in business?Review from Brandon L

I cancelled with this account. I have the login credentials to prove it. I was JUST billed $94.95 for a repair plan I am not part of, or made any authorization for. NO ONE will pick up the phone. Please refund me, take my credit card off file. I will keep calling until this gets resolved.Review from Teresa S

Like others, my credit card was charged without my consent for an annual membership that I didnt agree to. I have emailed multiple times without a response and have called multiple times and been cut off after 20 minutes on hold.
