I dropped off a truck and parts car in April of 2018. The plan was to restore the truck using parts from the car. An estimate was provided and it was agreed upon that the project would be completed within a year. It was a year before the project enter the shop... Since that time both the truck and car had been stripped down and starting to be put back together but barely. During the last 6 years it seems there's been about one week's worth of work done per year. During this time I've tried contacting **** (owner) by calling, ************ usually with no response. Eventually he will respond sometimes up to 2 months since my first attempt at contact but will be some excuse as to why no progress had been made or that it they would get back to it next week or something like that, leading me on. This October (6.5 years later) I finally had enough and took my truck out of his shop in pieces. While locating parts I discovered he had charged me for parts that he had not even ordered and would not refund me for them. ($1943.30) Also my parts car was gutted and missing many things that were not used on the truck. We did talk about him purchasing the car from me at one point but the price was never agreed upon nor paid in full but he was selling things off it. I don't think he ever would have finished my project and there are other customer's vehicles in his shop that have been in there longer than mine so i know this is not a one off situation. i have tried to make contact with him a couple weeks ago asking about my refund for the parts he was supposed to order and once again I did not get a response. I feel it it necessary to file this complaint in hopes someone else doesn't have to go through what i did. I was really looking forward to seeing this truck on the road and he has sucked all the enjoyment out of the process for me.
