    I was a member of Anytime Fitness Cochrane since November 2022. Under the previous management, members were allowed to store personal items at the facility. However, in 2024, the management changed, and with it, so did their *********** January 2024, I suffered a severe ski injury, resulting in an ACL tear, meniscus tear, fracture, and various sprains and strains. This significantly impacted my ability to walk, and I underwent two surgeries this year as part of my recovery. My condition was well-known to the gym staff, and it was evident that I was working hard to rehabilitate my ********* July, less than a month after my second surgery, the new management began pressuring me to remove my personal items from the gym, using language that felt more like threats and orders rather than a constructive dialogue. At the time, I was struggling even to access the gym without a gym bag due to my limited mobility. Exercise was (and remains) critical for restoring function to my ****** October, I had progressed to working on plyometric exercises as part of an official rehabilitation program prescribed by Banff Sport Medicine. To aid in these exercises, I purchased a plyometric ladder, which I planned to donate to the gymnot just for my own use, but for the benefit of other members as well. Unfortunately, the management refused to engage in any meaningful discussion about this. They dismissed my request outright without asking any questions or attempting to understand my needs.When I expressed frustration at the lack of communication and support, the management suggested revoking my membership. I initially refused, but just days later, I received an email informing me that my membership had been canceled. Having access to a gym is absolutely crucial for my rehabilitation and recovery. I request compensation for the membership price difference, allowing me to join a CrossFit gym instead, as working out at Anytime Fitness causes me distress due to management's bullying.

    ***** was a member not in contract with us, and we have the right to terminate and refuse membership to anyone at anytime. She has been a toxic member of our community for over a year now, and we will not be issuing a refund at this time

    I am rejecting this response because the management of the gym is unprofessional and toxic. I had to change gyms when I am in need of rehabilitation.

    I want to add that there was no conflict or any bad relationship with anyone from the clients or the staff of the gym except for the manager, which created awful atmosphere at the gym. I used to be a member of many gyms before and I never had any problems. And I never had problems at Anytime fitness either before ****** became the manager. ****** is lacking in communication skills and she terminated my membership because of her personal issues.
