    Friday July 14, I received a call from a receptionist named Kiarra from Family Dental Care, College Heights location. The receptionist called about billing my dental insurance for a procedure to be performed on my daughter. I wasn’t clear as to why she was telling me to look for an email from my insurance provider for treatment yet, since the orthodontist had not seen my daughter yet of any treatment plan had been discussed so I asked questions to clarify this. It seemed to me that the receptionist was intentionally provoking me by giving partial answers with a condescending tone. As I became agitated by her tone and what seemed to me as withholding helpful information, she suggested that I was the one with a problem. I was surprised and said good bye and hung up. I was both confused and inferioated. I decided not to do business with their office so I call my dentist office the same day and requested a referral to another orthopaedic surgeon/dentist. Sunday July 16, 2023, my ** **** *** ******** **** ** **** *** **** ******* ******* ** ****** ****** ** **** *** ******* **** **** ** *** ****** **** *** ******* ***** ** ****** * ***** ** *** ******* ******. Monday July 17, I called Family dental and made a complaint to the office manager about a breach of confidentiality and of her unprofessional Im regarding the initial phone call as well as ********** me. The office manager revealed to me she knows who I am and suggested that I am ***** about **** knowing about any phone call with their office because **** is off work due to a death in the family. She proceeded to tell me I am the cause of the call because I am disrespectful and then proceeded to tell me that I am known to them because I “was asked to leave their office” once. I told her that is a blatant lie, and it is. I have only been in that office with my daughter for her orthodontics several years ago and she can attest that I was never “asked to leave” their office. The office manager said I “am in denial” and is not going to do anything about my complaint. I realized after the call that ******* ****** works at the office, although away on leave, she had already poisoned the environment for me which would explain why the receptionist was condescending and provoking me to begin with. It is a fact that **** ****** was informed of the call with Kiarra directly or indirectly even though she is off on leave. I do not know how to contact the dentists or associates who own this business to make a formal complaint because they live in other cities and aI do not trust theft one line staff at any of their locations to treat me professionally nor can I trust them with my confidential personal information. This workplace drama has affected my daughters health as her dental surgery is delayed while I seek a new referral to a different dentist. I think the owners of this business would be interested to know how their staff is affecting their potential clients, their business, and professional reputation in this city.
