Contacted company to provide quote on installation of artificial turf for the front yard on March 29, 2023. The owner ******* came out on March 31st and brought samples of the turf and took measurements. He followed up with a quote. On April 7th, we sent him a deposit of $3,000 by *********. After that time, ** **** ****** ******* *** not showing up to do the work. Conversation captured as text messages. Finally on May 31st, he sent an excavator to remove and dispose of the existing grass. The same day he requested another deposit of $3600, which was sent by etransfer as well. He provided receipts in both cases but we later realized the receipts are bogus and contain false information about the company name, address, etc. Again, he kept putting off the remainder of the work. On June 22nd, the person who had excavated the yard came by the house to say that he had not been paid by ******* for the work and was wondering why our yard was still not completed. ** ***** *** **** ** *** **** ** **** *** **** **** ****** *** * ********* *** *** ******** ********** ***** *** *** *** ******* ***** ** *** ***** *** ****** * ******** ** ******** * **** **** *** ******* **** ** **** ***** ** ****** ****** ** ** ******* *** **** *** **** ****** ******** *** ******* ****** **** ****** ** ****** **** ** ******* ***** **** ** **** ***** As we had no faith or confidence in him, we told him we wanted a refund of the deposit we paid. He tried to convince us he would complete the work but we demanded our money back. Since then we have heard more excuses about why he does not have the money and so the issue is still unresolved.

    Business response

    11/07/2023

We did fall behind and kept in contact with the customer.   We offered to be at their house the very next day after the police called..  2 days after we had spoken.  They declined.  Leaving us with over $4000 in ********* that were cut to fit that particular jobsite.   We are left to sell the turf at a discount to recoup ther loss.  Which is being done now.

*********************** of Artificial Turf Installations was contracted to on April 1, 2023. We were informed that once we paid the deposit for our project, a putting green, it would be completed approx. 2 weeks out and could be finished in one weekend. For 2 months we had asked for time lines and a commitment to complete the work only to have to chase you down via text with repeated excuses and unfulfilled commitments. I have saved all our text and email communication for reference. On May 10, 2023 sent a detailed email to ****** listing work had been completed and had asked for a new invoice for work done as we had lost confidence and wanted to find someone else to finish the work. I received an email response saying his crew were 30 minutes away asking if they wanted them to come. No provide proper notice was given but his crew showed up anyway and completed the work over a couple days.May 15th - work completed. ****** requested final payment although his terms and conditions stated June 30th but I wanted my dealing with him to be over so ******* was paid in full. May 17th, 2023 - sent ****** a pic of turf that was not pinned down. He sent someone to fix. May 18th, 2023 - sent a pic of a putting green cup that was coming out of the turf. He said someone would stop by after weekend to adjust. No one showed up nor was there any communication. May 25th & 26th no reply.May 27th after I mentioned in my text that I would be submitting an honest review of my experiences I received a response. I had to follow up again on Monday, May 29th asking when I could expect him Tuesday. Finally a worker came to adjust the cup.June 4 - sent a video of the putting green and ridges - it wasn't smooth and I asked him to look at it. June 15th he finally came by my house to check out the issue and says it needs 10 more of sand and would be completed when weather improved. After multiple texts and rude text messages from ******, he has not returned to finish the work.
