    The bank has shown no sympathy or understanding after we were victims of fraud and theft. Despite 20 years of banking from my wife and 15 from me, Coast Capital Savings clearly values profits over people. Nothing but victim blaming.

    Horrible bank! They are keeping my money and making me get a public notary to verify my identity after having the account for 5 months. Im an 80 year old senior on pension and old age security and I cant pay my rent because they wont let me access my money. I dont have extra money to go to public notary to get this done and will have to take taxis there and back and have no idea what this will cost me. I tried talking to the agent and even the supervisor but they dont care at all. When did banks decide to keep money that belongs to you. I dont understand this at all, Im very angry and dont know what to do.

    My experience lately indicates that Coast Capital Savings staff have very little concern for issues raised by members. Senior Management has a Bunker Mentality and have created a second ****** Wall between thenselves and the membership. A true Isolationish Code of Conduct.Management have demonstrated a well defined Past the Buck approach to addressing issues raised by members.Time for me to put my money elsewhere.

    ***** ** ********** ***** ******* ******** ******* ****** ***************** checks constant pasword chance and half the atms dont work properly or dont work at all find a better bank im defiantly switching banks not the bank you want to be with if you do lots of online banking or transactions they also charge a ton when 40$ to do 5 transactions from my savings my own account and money so look else where *************** and hassle they create for no reason! also the e transfer has never worked for me they apparently fixed it but it has not worked for the last 3 years

    Please avoid this bank at all costs, they got our mortgage file June 7 2023 and by August 24th we had no commitment at all from them. our closing date was sept 4th.They will say sorry do to the volumes they are delayed. ** *** *** * **** *** ****** ******** * ***** *** ****** ** * ****** *** *** *** **** ** ********* Looking at the other complaints it seems like they can't get anyone's mortgage done.**** ** *** **** ***** ***** ********* ** ***, they had the audacity to tell us to re-apply without our broker!!! If we did that we would have lost the deposit on our house. We are so glad that we did have a broker that was able to get us a back up plan. Even still we are paying thousands of dollars in extra interest because they could not get this completed. ***** ***** ********* ******** **** *** *****, they stated they were too busy to even look at our file until August 5th which is a lie, they had someone open our file start of July. *** ***** *** **** ****** *** ***** ** **** ******* **** *** ******** *** ********* *****

    If you want the treatment of a big bank but with none of the benefits, this is the spot!My family had all our accounts with Coast back when it was ******** ******* (30-40 years). In the last 2 years, weve moved all of our money out of it and into **** with some of our day-to-day stuff with ******* (a real credit union). Their technology is struggling (its often down), investment performance is bottom of the barrel, *** ******* * ******** ****** ********* ******* * ******** **** ***** * **** *** ***** **** ** * **** * *** **** ****.

    I recently applied for a small loan from coast capital credit union. My wife and I have been members for over 20 years. The way we were treated during the loan process was appalling. The fact that we were long time members did not factor in at all. We had business accounts as well as personal accounts. Because of the way we were treated we are currently closing all our accounts and moving to a reputable banking institution. There is no benefit to building a relationship with Coast Capital And the customer service is terrible

    Half of the time that I try to do online banking, I can't log on and get a response saying "It's not you, it's us". I've called customer support so many times with no resolution. I haven't been shut out of my corporate and personal accounts - today, I can't access it at all. Not on ******, not on ******, not after clearing cache like customer service says. Nothing works, no help. And I've been on hold now for 20 minutes when I've asked to speak to someone higher up.I have now tried to send an etransfer to a business for the last week. A warning comes up that 4 customer service agents cannot solve. I've been to the bank in person to deal with this, plus spent over 2 hours on the phone. Can't send money. Can't access my accounts. When I shop, I use tap. 60% of the time tap does not work. Merchants note that when they have a problem with tap, it is mostly Coast Capital. I've been with Coast Capital for 20 years now and can't leave fast enough. I tried to support the little guy, but this is ridiculous.

    The Coast Capital website is one of the worst platforms I have ever encountered, even worse than the Government of Canada website! It is nearly impossible to find a phone number to call, and when you do, the phone system is just as bad as the website! When you follow the phone tree instructions you hear the same options after you select the number you need. I had to listen to the recording several times, despite hitting the number '2' after each instruction. When it finally worked I had the option to leave my number for a call back, if you pressed the appropriate number. I had to listen to the same recording and selecting '1' each time, for nine times! Finally a live voice from a likely distant call centre said hello, then promply hung up on me. Non-existent customer service. This is for my business account which I am now looking to switch to another institution.Surprisingly, the phone number is the same one for a lost card or to report fraudulent activity.
