Awful service. Purchased coverage through a deal ship a month ago and the vehicle now has issues with suspension and brakes and when you call with the policy number I was told I am not in there data base. Corrupt, disgusting and classic case of fraudulent insurance company. Disgraceful! Be aware stay far away and do your research. They will not let you cancel your coverage. They are crooks and criminals from top to bottom.

I bought a Mechanical Breakdown Insurance from Industrial Alliance Financial to cover my car from 2022 To Feb2028. I had not made any claims against this insurance. However, due to financial pressures I have changed my mind and want to discontinue my coverage. When I called the company to request to discontinue, i was told that I was not allowed to do so. What?! This should be *******. I dont mind being charged a penalty or a fine for stopping my coverage but to not be allowed to discontinue is totally unfair. In other words, when you do decide to buy into an insurance from ** you must make certain your financial situation doesnt change otherwise you are in trouble! Who can foresee that?! Its logical that anyone should be able to discontinue insurance coverage. The risk will befall the person anyway. Not Industrial Alliance. I feel duped as I was sold this while excited with my new second hand vehicle. The true **** of a professional insurance company is that it gains your trust. Well, with this I totally lost my trust in **. They should do better. The ****** ******** ****** should seriously look into the practices of businesses such as this that puts into disadvantage average Canadians. It is unfair. I believe in some places in ****** it is ******* to stop customers from discontinuing insurance coverage. This is one company that should be compelled to change their policy and be better for the people.
