Last Friday, the 2nd of June I went by Local Automotive for a minor car issue for which I needed some advice from a mechanic. At first I truly appreciated *** for his cheery demeanour and that it was near closing time. I needed to top up my coolant in my reservoir and he kindly said he could help. He sent out a guy wearing a Lordco shirt and quickly found out he actually did not work there but was helping out, he actually worked at Lordco. We filled the reservoir and then *** asked if he could take the car for a spin. I accompanied him and he proceeded to run my car in an extremely rough manner causing it to have the same issue I had come in for. I did not realize this until afterwards but in the meantime asked how much I owed him. He unashamedly asked me for 100 dollars to avoid the taxman. He only spent 10 minutes maximum on my vehicle. I paid 50 cash and 50 on my credit card. As I returned to my vehicle it was having the same issue. I then realized that he had caused this issue and kept insisting I leave the car with him. I refused. I could see and hear as the employee of ****** and he laughed about this money being their beer binge for that evening. He actually tried to manipulate that I leave the car. I returned to ******** and then to ********* without an issue. The problem was that I had a crack in the plastic which I pointed out to him. He ripped me off and then tried to get me to leave my car for him to take more advantage of me with ****** in cahoots. He said he was a comedian and artist. He was right, he played a joke on me and should have used the prefix con-artist. I trusted him for the first 9 minutes, then realized he was a fraud as a mechanic. I do not recommend this auto repair shop. Just before attending to me, he sent a young lady away with bad brakes. She had left her car there all day and he did not do his job. She was traveling to ********* the next day. I hate to know the outcome of his dangerous advice. ***, a true loser.
