    Nov 24/21 Stanley****** came to estimate spray painting of kitchen cabinet doors. Estimate was 2650.00. Two of the doors were in my closet/ they had fallen off the hinges Nov 30/21 I e-transferred Stanley 835.00 down payment. Feb 2/21 Stanley and his dad removed the cabinet doors. The hinges and magnets to shut the doors were in bad shape; my friend removed them later. Feb 9/I sent an email saying I had removed the hinges. March 7/At the condo, Stan asked where the hinges were; I had got rid of them. He said he had planned on reusing; just replacing just a few of them; would have to order more hinges. He papered off the area around the cabinets. Later his dad came in and spray painted the top outer frame of the cabinet white. (Another company had painted my walls and inside the cabinet box). They forgot the blue paint; said they would be back with hinges, paint and doors another day March 22/Stan and his dad came. I went to the bedroom and in the first couple of hours, asked them how it was going; if they had any questions; 'it's going well'. In the aft, I left home for a couple of hours; when I came back; they were just leaving; 'it went well' I opened 1 cabinet door; pointed out some damage; they said that's the way it was. I pointed out the hinges didn't fit and were sticking out, Stan said he'd had trouble finding hinges that fit that matched the holes of the original hinges. One door was 1/4 inch lower than the facing door; Stan banged up on the door with his fist to line it up better. No magnets...said I'd have to get them and could phone him to install (a new project). Later, I found more damage I was trying figuring things out so didn't answer his calls or texts. He came to the condo yesterday. I told him I wasn't paying. He then texted me they would put a lien on my condo. BTW, I don't want thermafoil doors; doors and frame are damaged; getting new cabinets. ***********************************************

    Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/04/29) */ Hi, I have received this complaint, we had done all the work that was asked of us and were only paid the down payment. After the job was done we never received the final payment, because of that I started reaching out to Edith ***** in order to determine what the issue was it was. Edith had informed me that she was unhappy with the job that was done, I promptly asked what it was that she was concerned about. I had asked her to send me pictures of the areas of concern (which she never sent). I also went to her building and requested to come in and look at the concerned areas as to which she just answered that she wasn't home and she isn't paying. I also asked her to message me further so that we can come to a resolution, but never received and response. I continued to try and reach out but never got any response, after which I had advised her that if we don't come to an agreement that I would have to put a Lien on her home because she was refusing to pay or let us come in and fix the issue at hand. We attempted multiple times to connect with Edith and never had any response. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Thank you Stanley Consumer Response /* (3000, 14, 2022/05/08) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I also have and can provide the text messages and call history for between March 22 and March 29, 2022. Stanley says that after the job was done, he started reaching out to me 'to determine what the issue was', that I 'was unhappy with the job that was done' and that he wanted me to send pics of the areas of concern. ************************************************************************************************************* When Storck was here at my condo and I pointed out the damage and poor workmanship that I saw (and I only saw a bit of the damage before they left on the final day), Stanley told me that 'that was just the way it was'. The cupboards were in worst shape - holes, damage to the doors, paint on the hinges, uneven paint, cupboard door not lined up properly) - after Storck Installation painted them than before they were painted...When I did point out the damage when the Stocks were here, my comments were disregarded and dismissed...Why would I want to deal with them any further? If he didn't know what I was concerned about when he was at my condo, he surely wouldn't know if he checked them again. And there is no way I would let them near any project of mine ever again.
