My son went to MITT and took their carpentry program. This program is supposed to account towards the first year of an apprenticeship school in Manitoba. I asked it it applies to Ontario and they said it will. My son successfully completed the program and found work in Ontario and the Ontario apprenticeship said they will NOT recognize the program.

    **** ** ********

Please note that the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT) is unable to disclose any information regarding specific student matters, due to privacy obligations.

    Speaking more generally, MITT offers some programs, including Carpentry, where students can earn credit toward Manitoba Apprenticeship Levels 1 and in some cases Level 2. This is detailed on each program, where applicable. * **** ******** * **** ** ****** ********* ******* *********** **** ***** ** ****** **** ********** *** **** ******** ******** *** **** ****** ****** ************** ******** ***** ***  *********

If the complainant (or our graduate) has further questions/concerns regarding our Carpentry program, Apprenticeship in general, or interprovincial agreements applicable to Red Seal trades such as Carpentry, we respectfully suggest that they connect with MITT directly through our Trades Program Manager in the School of Skilled Trades and Technologies * ***** *** *****

MITT is confident that we have acted in good faith. MITT cannot and does not ensure that its programs meet the guidelines of employers, their apprentices, and regulators in jurisdictions outside of Manitoba. Our information is made available on our website for students to review at their convenience.

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Respectfully,
    Debbie *****

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
I did reach out to the college.  They did not act in good faith as the recruiter told us this is transferable to Ontario Carpentry Apprenticeship program.  I have provided the e-mail communication showing this issue.  I would like a full refund due to the dishonesty and the wasted time and money spent on both tuition and lodging.

    Sincerely,

    Kelly ********
