  Issues we experienced with Motto Workspace & ***** ******, for our wedding that took place on June 22, 2024; It was originally agreed on that the top area, overlooking the large hall was going to be available for guests to use and a few months before the wedding it was rented out without the bride & groom’s knowledge so it was out of use. Upon meeting up two meetings before the event, we were last minute informed (less than 3 days before the wedding) that someone was inhabiting one of the rooms in the event space and had not been agreed on upon booking.  The person inhabiting the space could only access their living space by walking through our private event. Live and dead Cockroaches were spotted upon premises. Advertised as “fully operational kitchen” on the website for our caterers, but we were told a few days before the wedding that the stove was not working so the caterers had to bring in their own separate heating element. Decorator was told the venue had enough tables, but upon set up the day of, a decent amount of tables were broken which lead to the table shortage (vendors had no place to sit and had no place settings, leading them to eat on the side lines with some plastic dessert forks) causing a delay in the decorator & coordinator’s schedules. Advertised as “Climate Controlled” on the website, but we were also informed 3 days before the wedding that there was no air conditioning which lead to a very uncomfortable event. A few guests ended up with Heat exhaustion. The bride and groom had to rent an air cooler at their own cost and arrange to bring it to and from the venue but it was still way too hot. Liquor sales were shut down prematurely (10PM) and very abruptly without warning rather than the agreed time of 12AM, as they claim their boss had told them the extreme heat is a health hazard. Due to the above concerns and other that does not fit here, ***** said in an email June 26, 2024 he would give us a full refund in 15 days. No refund was issued.
