I was looking for French Classes and I called Alliance Francaise in Winnipeg, and I got some information by phone and was told to go to the website, select the course, complete restriction and make the payment. I completed all the steps, got the confirmation email, and make arrangements on my job to attend the classes. A week later o got an email saying that they didn’t get enough registrations and I would need to go online or change the type of course It is a work requirement, and I have checked on the site there isn’t any message that gives a message that the class could be canceled. * ******* **** ** * ********** **** *** ****** *** ** ** * *** *** **** ** **** **** ***** **** ****** ** **** **** **** ****** ******** **** ** ****** *** **** * ****** **********. This is not the course I choose, and it is not the course my company will accept. I need their to keep the class that was advertised.

    Bonjour,

I hope this email finds you well. This is ******** *****, the executive director of Alliance Française du Manitoba.

We've read over the complaint that your office received, and we would like to express our apologies for the inconvenience our customer experienced; Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
At Alliance française du Manitoba, we take customer feedback very seriously, as it helps us improve our services. In response to your message, we have taken immediate action to remedy the issue you have described. In response to the issue our customer have described, I need to clarify :

On our website *****************************, all the information about our services, courses, and requirements is provided. For more details about the terms and conditions, **** ** *** ****** **** * ********************************************************

In addition, when they choose the course to register for they need to accept our terms and conditions before completing the payment; here, is an example of how our customers see the terms and conditions before completing the payment (you can even try to register for one of our courses to see how it works) : ************************************************************************************

As you see in the terms and conditions, section “Group Classes”, we have provided all the details for our students; please look at the  part for the cancelation of the course :

    Group Classes

    - Students must be 16 years old minimum to enroll in an adult group class. Parents’ permission is required for minors.
    - Individual students: all fees are payable upon registration. Employer-financed training: full payment is required one week after the first lesson.
    - Students must enroll for the entire course. There will be no pro-rating for missed classes or late registrations. We reserve the right to not accept enrollment into a session if the student has missed the two weeks of class.
    - Make-up classes will be offered for missed classes. A student may contact the teacher to inquire about missed material. Private tuition is available at a fee and can be used to receive private help.

The AFM reserves the right to cancel, re-arrange, or modify the schedule of a class, should the enrollment be insufficient (fewer than 4 students). Classes with less than 6 students will have reduced hours (as indicated in the course descriptions).

    - Adult standard classes:
For groups of 7 or more students: 27 hours.
For groups of 4 to 6 students: 22.5 hours.

So, we have provided other options to our customer as the class that she registered for, was canceled due to insufficient registration :

     - to be transferred to another course:
        *A101 Fast Track – 5:30-8:30pm – in person – Tuesdays and Thursdays (starts July 9th-August 1st )
*A101– 5:30-8:30pm – Online - Wednesdays (Starts July 10th – August 28th ) Please note that the quality of our online course is     the same as our in-person course, same method, live session; you will have interactions with your classmates and instructor as well. In addition, the capacity of the online and the in-person classes are the same and there is no difference in the method of teaching.

    - A Full refund of 450.00$ (as we canceled the course)

Unfortunately, we can not open that course that she registered for as she is the only person registered for this course schedule.

We hope we have understood and addressed the issue to your satisfaction. Thank you once again for bringing this issue to our attention and giving us the chance to provide clarification. Should you have any further questions, please reach out to us.

    Yours sincerely,

    ******** *****

    Complaint: ********

This reply do not solve my problem.

Following instructions from my RH I requested the refund and will take my course in a different institution.

As a record, the company I work for, won’t accept employees to register for AF classes anymore.
