I purchased a ******* back in March 2024 - Paid full price up front without financing. Car was newly inspected for 2 years under the NB province, got the car home to PEI only to have my engine light came on after 800kms. Tried to work things out with ***** ********* at Port Elgin Auto Sales, no such luck except to take it to an island mechanic with a bad reputation and very well known to be dishonest. (This establishment is now closed down "********" in Summerside. I declined and paid the scan and fix myself. Less than 2 weeks after purchasing the vehicle I notice a spot under the door … The rocker panels are completely rotted out to the point I can stick my hand through both sides! Tried to contact ***** again and all he was concerned about was if we took it to the mechanic he recommended previously. That issue was fixed out of pocket and no longer a concern with the engine light. After responding directly, right away, we still have yet to hear a word back nor even got a response from them. It’s now July, 2024. 4 months later! I’m left with a ******* and I have to replace two rocker panels with and a terrible experience. I will never recommend this establishment because I have a lick and stick MVI sticker and a car that needs lots of work 2 weeks after purchasing. Super disappointed! Upon research on facebook and forums regarding the company there are multiple complaints of engine lights coming on almost immediately so they seem to be clearing lights off the scanners. Another common complaint is spray painting bottom of cars so you can't tell they are rotted out which I'm assuming is what is my case as well. At this point I want to take the car back and get my money for it or have them repair what should have been stated with a safety at the very least.
