I purchased a vehicle from kaat auto in early December 2022. From the first day of purchasing, I have had problems with it. The owner did replace a sensor thinking it would solve the situation but it has not and has since stopped responding to my calls and text messages. I called the dealership and was told " it's not our problem" . I was told to use my extended warranty that I purchased with the vehicle, but it does not cover electrical. I feel they knowingly sold me a faulty vehicle and now will not fix it.

Here is the purchase agreement requested

The owner went above and beyond to go change a sensor for this customer after hours at night to get customer back on the road.

We then paid for a diagnosis at the gm dealership as our shop is not equipped to diagnose theses types of issues and they had fixed the problem

we received a phone call a couple weeks after from customer stating he was stranded and advised customer to return to the gm dealer who did the work to further diagnose this issue since they had worked on it
at this time customer stated the truck was miss firing , the weather day day was a heavy snow storm 30+ cm

we havent herd back from the client since ,

as per the attached document provided by the customer it clearly states that all sales are final and we recommend warranty

we sell used cars and we cannot predict if the vehicles will have any issues after they are sold , we recondition them to the best we can and as per the province and  provide a new safety inspection

we are not legally obligated to even cover any repairs to the vehicle

we checked this vehicle at our shop and had the manufacture dealership diagnose and repair the customers vehicle , we did all we could to try and find the issue and have it resolved.

we advised the customer at this point to contact their warranty company as we have exhausted our recourses  if the manufacture dealership was not able to identify an issue

I am rejecting this response because:

The warranty sold to me does not cover such expenses. The day the vehicle was purchased, the battery was dead and they had to buy a new one to get it running.  Obviously there wouldn't be any codes showing as the computer would have been cleared. I was told by ****** ****** the owner, not to worry  he would have the problem resolved and have the text messages to prove it. If he does not wish to resolve the issue, I will proceed with legal action

please find attached invoice and diagnosis and repair from the gm dealer that we paid for concerning these electrical issues

I believe we did our due diligence to try and solve this matter as much as we could for this customer

Business lied and said the vehicle was never in an accident when really on the car fax report it says structural damage. This also indicates they lied when getting the vehicle registered as on the registration it says physical status original when it should say rebuilt. I was also informed by the dealership that pointed these errors out to me that the vehicle also had two vins so this business said oh well there was a dent in the door so we placed it. I have all documentation proving they lied as well as audio of the conversations I had with them. All they would say was while laughing we will take the sticker off the door that doesn’t match the vin in the window. Bottom line I was deceived and told a vehicle wasn’t in an accident when it was. Also when I went there and requested they pull up the car fax report that they usually don’t even do that unless requested. I would never have bought a vehicle knowing it was in a big enough accident where the car fax says structural damage.

Call it structure that’s all as a buddy shop we are aloud to change a door from a scrap yard the sticker that was on the door she got it happen that the sticker serial number was from a rebuilt Jeep that’s all if you ask about the sticker that’s on the rest of the Jeep is the same as the one that’s on the pictures the reason she when with you guys is that she wanted me to pay all the Jeep back more info call me at **********

I am rejecting this response because:

They are not mentioning the fact the bigger issue was how when I purchased the suv my mother asked if the vehicle was in any accidents and they said it wasn’t. I have audio from the day I confronted them about  the car fax report stating it had structural damage when the got it from the auction and have the salesmen who sold me the vehicle say again as I acted like I didn’t know that he did say it wasn’t in any accidents and nothing would be on the car fax report, but once they showed me what they had it said it was in an accident. They led me to believe it was not in any accidents when I purchased the suv and that was a lie. They misrepresented the vehicle and lied when asked about accidents. The registration should also say rebuilt as the car fax says structural damage when purchased at the auction. I don’t know how the pulled that on off but they did.
