            Breton Group was commissioned to work with my company ******** ****** ********** ********* in order to identify and write proposals to access federal and provincial grants and funding to help grow our business. The pitch was that they would be able to identify funding sources and grants through federal and provincial programs that would allow us to grow our existing business. Emphasis was placed on them being able to find outright grants to accomplish this. It was clearly stated several times (verbally and in emails) that if they could don't source appropriate programs, we would be refunded. I worked with D**** ****** from Breton Group to try and identify these programs. I explored each option that M** ****** put forward and met with the appropriate officials from the respective government agencies offering the grants and funding to see if my business fit the respective programs. M** ****** suggested several programs and grants, but after meeting with these officials my company was deemed to not be eligible for any of them. After exhausting the most obvious programs and being denied, *** ******** suggestions began to become pretty far fetched and unrealistic. At one point he suggested we apply for grant to make wooden beekeeping equipment out of seafood processing waste..."because they had a really good *****". After several of these unrealistic ideas were put forward, I informed him that is seemed that we did not fit any available programs and asked that my $5000 be refunded. It was aggreed that I would be refunded, both verbally as well as in email. For the next 7 weeks I repeatedly asked for refund and received assurances that it was coming...unfortunately the refund was never issued and M** ****** and the owner of Breton Group ***** ************ stopped responding to my emails and would not take phone calls despite dozens of attempts to contact them. No service was rendered in the end and I am out $5000.
