After a project was completed where Bylin Construction was a third party contractor, I engaged Bylin directly to replace a window that appears to have failed and is leaking water into my wall and coming in over my patio door. He quoted me $1500 approximately for the window and installation. He too an etransfer of $780 for the deposit and ordered the window. The window arrived in April and we agreed on a 29 April for the installation (the day after I was to return from vacation). I got bumped from my flight and did not return home until later on the 29th. I had informed ***** the owner of the delay and asked to reschedule. I cannot remember the original reschedule date, but he either did not show or said he had no crew or they had COVID, or their scaffolding was tied up elsewhere. I had to follow up with him every time because he was not communicating with me or telling me in advance I’m almost every case. I had asked him on several occasions to just deliver the window so I could hire someone else to install. No reply. He then had family deaths and illness and he said he would get to me, which brings us to 2024. He finally told me the window was not in his possession, but he had ordered it. He had to check to see if **** didn’t sell it on him. Waited. No reply. So I called the manager of **** installation services since I am now trying to get another failed window replaced. I asked her to see if the window is there. She said it is and it was easy to spot. It says “***** for Kim” on it. I left a message for ***** letting him know. He said when he called they didn’t see it. I am highly doubtful he even called. He said he would give me my money back and then **** can sell me and install the window. I have now waited a few weeks and keep trying to get my money back. He says he is waiting for a draw from another project to pay me back and asks for my patience! My patience has been far surpassed after almost a year and I still have failed windows and water
