Parked and went to pay, website crashed halfway through entering my personal and financial information. Eventually got onto the page, and paid for what I believed to be an hour and a half of time, but the website only registered I paid for a half hour. Was charged an outrageous $45 late fee within minutes of my time expiring. Who goes into a restaurant and expects to leave in 30 minutes? In terms of actual criticism, their system of collecting fees feels like it is there to intentionally charge this $45 fee. With an all digital system, there is no reason why you could not simply enter your credit card once you park into their website, and then charge the card what you owe when you leave. Similiar to pre-authorizing a charge at a gas station. However, you have to pre-pay a set amount, meaning if you are wrong, you will be charged an extra $45.00, in my experience, within minutes of figuring that out. The email confirmation after you pay, intentionally doesn't include the time frame you purchased in either the email confirmation subject or within the preview. You have to scroll through the email to find it. This means that if you make a mistake, you will not have a means of verifying it easily or intuitively. Another way to catch people off guard and charge them. There is technology available to detect license plates that enter and leave an area. There are gates and pay stations that could be put in place. However, this company hires someone to just watch and wait to catch people instead of spending money on infrastructure that would be a benefit to the consumer. Their claim that the $45 fee is there to pay for lost revenue and pay expenses is not based on reality, as they have intentionally spent as little money as possible. The fine is as much their revenue as the parking rates. There is a reason why these parking lots are empty. Avoid at all costs. They aren't making money off the parking, they are making money off the fines.
