This company is a complete fraud a representative from carbon less came to my home saying that he will save me money on my my energy bill and also will give me $25 carbon tax. But did not mention the several withdrawals that came afterwards. Please don't trust this company I will now have to change my account and all my buildings thank you very muchBusiness response

I have entered on a contract with company called morconnect on Dec 2022. Which is currently saying sold to carbon less inc. Initially I was told that term is for 1 year and against the charges 1500$ I will receive 1850$ rebate and I will get it within few weeks. It's been 7 months I haven't received any rebate. Also, the contract they made me sign is saying that my property owes them 10,770$ in toal instead of 1500$. I have tried to explain but as they have the contract I can't do anything. Now they are saying for buyout pay us 5574.29$ and contract will be null and void and they issue discharge of notice of security interest. Now, I don't know if it's another trap and they will actually do it. I have also tried to let them know that this money is too much but it's useless and they are firm on their end.Business response

Company name: cabon less inc ********** Same as all of facing problem like lady came to my door and all of it. I talked to bank and they stopped the transaction because i haven't authorized them for this so i got refund. They provided me the false information and all. Now i got notice from them that you have to pay 545$ otherwise they will report to the ******* or credit companies. They are bullying me for thing which i haven't done. It should be reported to the police. I don't know how to stop this transaction or how to cancel this.Business response

The way people getting tricked by this **** is similar. Using the exact similar scenario that was described by another victim but with my details. "Two employees from Carbon Less Inc. knocked on my door to inform me about support for the hydro bill and I didn’t sign up for any service but they took my account details saying that I’ll get some refund as the hydro company charging more than the government regulated price. Now am reading reviews online that this is a fraud company and keep taking money from your account. I don’t have any single document or email about the contact how come they can charge without providing any service? I do have all the utility services I need and don’t need any. The debit transaction showing as CARBON LESS INC BPY but they didn’t provide any hydro service to me. Please look into this and help getting refund and cancel further payments"Business response

The same tactic as the other complainants of this company, I was misled by their misrepresentation and false advertisement. They came to our door, said that we will have a rebate of $25, and also it could lower the bill of our heat, they look at our ******** bill, let me sign a 1piece paper for the $25 rebate, they never mentioned anything that I will pay a monthly fee. I called the company because they are saying that in the contract I have signed heat and ac protection plan plus carbon offset and suddenly there was a second and third page of the contract which I never had a copy. I would like to terminate this contract but they would like me to pay the termination fee, I never use their services whatsoever. This is a hard earned money that I worked for and this company has the audacity to this.Business response

Good day, My name is ********, with house address ** ******* ****** ***** ***** ****. I am writing to make a complaint about a fraudulent misrepresentation made to me by an agent of carbon less Inc that came to my house and told me about the company’s plan that covers a monthly charge of $90 inclusive of tax that covers our gas and air conditioner bill. He showed me a paper to sign for the purpose of consenting to a monthly deduction from my account and said the official documents will be sent to both my email and via post. My card details was taken by him and written down by him. He stated unequivocally that we were previously being over charged for our gas bill and we agreed that it was a better plan for our gas especially. He later said his company was going to call to confirm our subscription and I said it was fine and someone called and I spoke to her. I suspected fraud when we got billing from ******** as regards our gas usage and also got a $101. 70 from carbon less inc. I immediately went online to get their contact to demand why I am still being charged for gas by ********. It was a customer care agent of carbon less inc that later informed me that gas was not included and I realized that the agent that approached me at the house simply lied to me and made me sign a document fraudulently knowing the charge does not cover for gas. I also asked the agent that came to my house if I could cancel at anytime without charge and he said absolutely but to my dismay the customer care agent I spoke to on the phone said to cancel I will have to pay over $700 dollars to cancel. This came as a shock and it became clear that the fraud was nicely orchestrated to deceive people and also prevent them from pulling out of the outrageous plan. I asked the customer care agent to get the details of the agent who approached me at home to confirm that all he said was fraudulent and misleading. I also went online and saw from reviews that this fraud isn’t knew to carbon less inc as many people had complained about this. Please I am writing to state that I want to opt out of this fraud and my card should not be debited moving forward as I was deceived into signing for the plan.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:This seems like a calculated fraud, how can carbon less inc say they do not solicit door to door when in fact that was what happened and it was an agent by name called ***** ****** that came to solicit at our door, this we found out when one of your agents that we reached out to sent us a copy of the agreement the agent promised to send us as he said it was unavailable at the moment and will be forwarded to us via post and email the next day. After reaching out to carbon less inc via phone call and speaking to one of the representatives, she sent us the copy of the agreement the agent named ***** ****** deliberately and fraudulently hid from us so as to deceive us into signing a supposedly great deal that was for our cooking gas plan.
The name of the agent is ***** ****** and he came to solicit at our door. I also realized that from my google search after I realized the fraud shows that a lot of people have been fraudulently deceived into signing the agreement and this isn’t their first time.This is unacceptable and something has to be done because I want out of the fraudulent plan

A person named ***** came to our house and gave us no information about a carbon less. I felt very rushed to make any decision and didn't give me any information. He told me that I will be getting $25 back each month as carbon rebate and took my bank information by confusing me. I understood minimally. Next thing I know they are deducting $75 from my account which I didn't authorized. I gave bank information to get rebate not withdrawals. I was never informed about this. When I called them back, they are saying they can't do anything and said that I will have to pay approx. $700 to terminate a "contract". This is very misleading. I would like to cancel this. He said this is Ontario's new plan, but explained me nothing else. At that time, he told me you can cancel it any time without any penalties. He falsified the information, I told him that I am not the owner and he said it doesn't matter. I have a witness who can confirm that I was explainedBusiness response

Hello, I want to file a complain against carbon less and offset ontario. They have falsely cheated us and break the law by implying deceitful things. One door to door salesman came from offset ontario this february and explained us about $25 credit for registering program and he explained it that how it will help in saving in our hydro bill. He took my signature without explaining details that he is signing me for heating and cooling program for monthly $45 charge. When he took my sign I checked thoroughly there was no charge included. He forged that document with my sign but without my permission. He told me that you will receive one call from a representative and just say yes to everything and persuaded me for that. He didn't leave my house when I was on call with represntative and made me do this and did not give me time to listen or understand what this whole program was and what I am liable for. Now every month I have to pay 45 for no service delivered to my houseand if I want to cancel it they are saying its $800 + HST charge. A man claiming to work for ******** came to my door and offered me a special program that was supposed to reduce my gas costs. However, when I checked my bill, I found out that I was actually paying an extra $100 per month to ****** ****** *********** ***, which I had never heard of. I tried to cancel the service, but the company refused and told me to wait for someone from cancellations to contact me. When they finally did, they told me I would have to pay $840+HST to cancel. After submitting a complaint to the ****** ******** ******, the company reduced the fee to $448+HST. However, when I asked them to explain how the cancellation works and tell me what is the exact amount that I need to pay tax included, they sent me this message: "********** **** is no longer carrying on business has sold and transferred its lease to Carbon Less Inc. I sent an email to Carbon Less Inc, and they replied with this: "Your agreement was signed with ********** and their representative on. Since there is an agreement in place, the cancellation will be processed under the appropriate cancellation policy as indicated. The cancellation fee is $840+HST ($949.20 total)." Initially, I thought it was another entity that might have fallen victim to ********** as well. However, upon checking their Google Maps reviews, I noticed a peculiar 5-star review. I realized that it was the same individual who had tricked me into signing the lease. What a coincidence! I promptly took a screenshot of the page. As you are aware, according to the Consumer Protection Act in Ontario, consumers have the right to terminate certain agreements within 10 days of receiving a copy of the agreement. However, I was not provided with the necessary documents within the cooling-off period. I know these companies are all linked. Please do not feign ignorance. I have grown exceedingly weary of having to contend with your deceitful tactics. I urge you to take immediate action and cancel the service without any penalty.Business response
