I paid for the job October 3,2023 and discussed with the contractor the few things outstanding that the sub-contractor was going to complete. The quote was for 6" gutters and then they told me that they needed to run extensions along side and use 4" and charged an addition $500 plus tax that I agreed to (copy attached). They were to come up with an alternate solution other than downspouts along the car port but that solution did not prevent water from running off the roof on to the laneway. They damaged the cap around the picture window and were to replace it. There is waving in the siding in two areas and were to fix that. The sub-contractor came to talk to me a few days after I paid in full and showed me a text from the Contractor that he(the sub) was to take care of the idiot on *******. Sub contractor did attempt to stop the leaks on the east side but continues to leak and has made excuses for the past several weeks and now is telling me to deal with the contractor and he has not answered my calls and then said that is what happens when you conspire behind my back when it was he that told the sub contractor to deal with me(the idiot). All I want is for the job I paid for the be completed. This has been a nightmare, contractor and sub constantly fighting, I have been in the middle and after paying $17,515 feel that this is not unreasonable. I do not want to fight, I would like to move on with the job finished.

This customer has been an extremely difficult customer to work with.  We've never had an issue arise where our customers are not fully satisfied, our 30 year outstanding reputation speaks for itself, as a longstanding valued member of the the local Chamber of Commerce including a solid 5 Star review standing with Google.  Unfortunately at times issues and mishaps arise, but Quinte Siding & Contracting and their sub-contractors can be trusted to get the job done to the customer's fullest satisfaction.

Mr. *******'s minor issues have been "heard" and will be addressed accordingly by the sub-contractor and business owner, unfortunately our sub contractor has just had a death in his family, so at this time we are a  behind in servicing all of our customers while he and his family are dealing with this most difficult time.

I am rejecting this response because:

My concerns have been raised for over 6 weeks.  I have not been difficult to deal with, I have been promised for over six weeks and still nothing.

I received a call from someone who works for ***** (the contract owner) and assured me that they will fix these issues.  I want to believe this is going to happen but cannot understand why this has taken six weeks.

If they were minor why have I had to wait for six weeks.

I have talked to the sub contractor, he is the only one who would talk to me as I mention in my initial detailed complaint and he assured me this would have been taken care of over three weeks ago.

If they are going to commit to a date to have everything outstanding completed, as they should have when I paid in full October 3 then we would not be going through this.

I then will be satisfied and he will not need to deal with the idiot on *******

I do not understand why I should be accepting the fact that there are outstanding issues that in my opinion are not minor for weeks and now believe it will happen.

    Sincerely,

    **** *******
