    Date of transaction- Nov 8, 2022 Order number- **** On Nov 22,2022 I was using the Roti Maker for the second time and the handle on the lid which seems to be made of ********* ***** plastic broke. I emailed Roti Maker right away to help me find a solution because without the lid handle I cannot really use the roti maker to flatten the roti. I sent pictures and requested a solution ( for eg- if they could repair it or exchange the item or refund). I did not year back for a week.     Hi, Saw this company therotimaker.com ad on ****** and it was advertised to purchase the item on their main site and not anywhere else to get the legit product and since there were many good reviews on ****** comments section regarding the product. I went ahead and purchased it on their main site therotimaker.com **** * ******* ** ******** ** ******. I had made my purchase on June 19, 2022 and was given shipment arrival date from August 2022 of 3-10 business days. The money was taken out from my **** card on June 20th, 2022 and the company never provided me with any real time shipping status information or anything. However, I have tried many attempts to contact them in the past as to know the status of my order. They told me shipment would arrive early August, but no specific date was given. Today it's August 13th, 2022 and It's now passed due date and still I have not been given any status update on my parcel. I have now requested them to cancel my order#**** rotimaker and a requested a refund back to my **** credit card in the full amount of $163.64 CAN. The amount that I had purchased on their site was $122.04 USD. ************ * **** **** * ******* *** ****** *** ************ **** ** ********** *** ******* *** ** ******** **** *** ** ***** It's been more than 24 hours I been trying to get a proper answer from them, but been unlucky.     I pre-ordered the Roti Maker in August 2021. I finally received the product around the middle of November 2021. On May 5, 2022, I wrote to the customer service at Roti Maker notifying them that the product had stopped working. I had the gadget for barely 5 months and hardly used it during that time. I used it on a handful of occasions and finally the thermostat stopped working and the gadget was extremely hot. So hot that all the rotis were getting burnt and there was a terrible burning smell all the time that it was plugged in. So I stopped using the product. I reached out for a replacement product but after multiple emails received a response saying that since the product was outside the 30 day return window, that I couldn't return it but was given a discount code to purchase a new product. *** ***** * ******** ******* ******* ** **** **** ******** The way it was advertised, the company said it was high quality and made in Canada. But upon receiving the product, you could tell the material used was cheap and the quality was very poor. The product was not at all what they show in the ads and videos. And no matter what, when you plugged it in, you always got a burning smell. I want my money back. I paid $120 for this and it hardly worked.

    Purchased on May 12, 2021 for 135 USD. Received on September 14, 2021. Used it about 6-8 times and noticed in January 2022 that the thermostat was not working making the appliance unusable and possibly unsafe. Contacted the business for a resolution. They offered an additional 50% off the price of an adjustible thermostat model. This works out to 61.75 USD based on the current price of 123.50 USD. I think I should not have to pay more to get a resolution to a quality and safety problem so soon after purchase and with minimal use but I am desperate enough for a resolution to agree to the additional charge. However, since making the additional 50% off offer the business is no longer responding to multiple requests from me for a resolution. I request the BBB to help me get a refund or a replacement. Thank you.
