***** ******* posted a post on a local Facebook page looking for work and we where needing to do a fence so I contacted him on June 29th, 2022 to get a quote which he provided me a quote on July 7th for $3000 for materials and $1300 for labor. I asked him for a contract and he emailed that to me on July 10th, 2022 with a total of $4,858 and not $4300 as previous said. On July 13th, 2022 I paid him the $3000 to get the material to build the fence and told me that he will start the job in 2 weeks. 2 weeks came didn’t hear from him on July 26th, 2022 I messaged him to see if he was bringing the materials or having them delivered and he did replied back the same day saying he was bringing them and that is when the excuses started to happen. ***** ******* did show up around August 30 and put in 3 posts that were not even on the property line or even in a straight line. He said he would be back on August 31st no show, message him said September 2 and told the neighbour he will be here on September 5th,2022 still no show. I kept messaging him when he was coming staring on September 6th, 2022 without no response back to messages sent by text, Facebook messenger and phone messages being left on his voicemail when we were able to as it seem like he was leaving his voicemail full so we couldn’t leave a message. This continued on till this month and still no acknowledgement until October 27th, 2022 when he threatened to call the police on me charge for harassment. All I was doing sending him messages to see when he was coming to do the job, then after no response I asked him to return our $3000 back that we paid him and the final message was asking him for his complete address as he didn’t include is unit number with his address so we can serve him with small claims papers. If you need anything else please feel free to contact me and I can provide screen shots.
