today 24 Sep 2024, I parked at ************************ Visitor Parking at 1:10 PM during the Day. I went to my mother's house who lives in this complex. I got a ticket at 1:21 PM Infraction: Unauthorized parking on private property Set fine $100. No Agent 7136. This is absurd, and non sense this agent has been following my car and all of my Family members to give them a ticket, knowing that this visitor parking need Only to be register at your website if visitor are staying overnight which it wasn't the case. It was during the Day at 1PM. I request to remove completely the fine that I just got. I have the Proof that Only my car got a ticket when over 6 cars were parked there at the same time. IF it's not an harassement from this agent toward myself then something is wrong. IF You DON't take an appropriate action against this agent I Will do it.Business response

VISITORS only have to register if parking between 1am-7am this is correct.
However plate DCCN673 is listed as an owner at this location. owners are not permitted to use visitors parking at anytime day or night as per condo rules. This was also explained to the owner of this car on 25-5-2024 by our staff when they called in the last time about a ticket. and this owner told us that this unit owns 3 cars and you all swap out using visitors. this was explained that owners can not use visitors at anytime. As its visitors parking and not secondary parking for owners. This is again listed in the condo rules, was explained to the owner on the phone and is told to each person every time they call into our automated system, it states VISTORS PARKING IS FOR VISITORS ONLY.
This means DCCN673 is not authorized to park in visitors anytime day or night and will be ticketed if found in visitors. should you wish to get approval to use visitors you must contact your property management and the board of directors to get an approval.
Ticket in question is valid.

I am rejecting this response because:I have some questions to ask then:
- how do you know that I owe 3 cars (your company got this information even before I called in last time)
- every homeowner have 1 parking spot but to get a second one we have to be in the waiting list for over 2 years. And my question to you last time how should we do? You gave me this answer its not your issue. Do you think its an appropriate answer? How should we do while we are waiting to get a second spot?
- I have now 3 spots and you are telling me that at anytime all of car are not allowed to park at the visitor even for dropping stuffs. This is just outrageous knowing that we all doing it. But you only chase my cars. Like I said this is unprofessional.
I call this harassment a persistent harassment. I am filling a complaint against your company.

As for knowing about 3 cars this comes from your condo management. Also from seeing the registration pattern of parking abuse but said 3 cars swapping out in visitors.
As for getting more parking spots. this would have nothing to do with our company. we are parking enforcement not your property manager. We have nothing to do with renting parking spots and this is done directly by the condo. NOT Carleton parking. As mentioned prior.
As for not being allowed to use visitors at anytime. Yes this is correct. as owners you can not use visitors at anytime day or night as per CONDO rules. again this is your condo rules not Carleton parking. we are just the enforcement not the ones that make the rules. if you dont agree with the rules you need to take that up with your condo management and board of directors. As these rules apply to all owners not just for you. if all owners used visitors parking as secondary spots there would be no parking for visitors.
in reading your response you agree that these rules had been told to you in the past and you are aware that you cant use visitors and still choose to park in visitors.
The ticket in question would be valid.

based on your first response you recalled very well that I called in earlier this year. I also believe that at no point during the conversation that one of your agent informed me that at no point I ******** at the visitor spot day or night. Yes I was informed I cannot park overnight which I did not since then.which property management are you referring to? **** management? I never told them that I have 3 cars. I contacted them to rent another spot as my third car was only in my possession like in June. But not even 1 day my new car got banned, like I said its an harassment purely as most of the homeowner park sometimes to load or unload their groceries. Your company are acting in a bad faith and biased, and $100 is outrageous. And the ticket stated it was parked at 1398 ******** which is not valid as the location is wrong.

I was ticketed today at 12:40PM by an agent of this company (Carleton parking Management, 1010 Polytek St #32, Gloucester, ON K1J 9J1, or the City of Ottawa) on the street near *** ******** ***** *** *** where there is no indication that parking is prohibited before 4PM, Also, there was no indication whatsoever on the street until now that any snow removal would take place (if that is the reason of the ticket). The name of the agent is ******** ****. I will fight this, including in court, because I am wrongfully ticketed. Besides, the address mentioned on the ticket (** ******** *****) does not exist, which shows that the agent does'nt even know the area where he is operating. This ticket has nothing to do with Carleton parking. if you look at the bottom of your ticket it will say agency. beside that it will tell you what company issued it. however it was not issued by us as we have no agent ******** **** and we did not patrol this location yesterday.

As condo rules clearly state any visitor must register there car. up to a max of 3 days in a 7 day period. Any vehicles that are not registered are subject to a parking infraction as per condo rules. This ticket would be valid as this car did not register.

**** *** is a residents vehicle on this property. As per the condominiums rules and regulations residents can not use visitors parking at anytime day or night. Visitors parking is for visitors only. Residents are to park in there designated parking spots. Signs are also posted stating "Visitors parking". Its also posted in the condo rules that residents can not use visitors parking at anytime day or night. We also see that a verbal warning was given prior to the infraction date also.
This vehicle was ticketed for breaking the condo rules. please review your condo rules and regulations for proper parking procedures.

On the evening of May 8, 2023, I registered my friend's car in a visitor parking spot. On the morning of May 9, 2023, he found a sheet on the windshield stating that not only had his parking privileges been revoked, but this was also a warning that he could receive a ticket/towing in the future and to take action to avoid that outcome. Attached to this warning was a parking ticket. We therefore not only received a warning for which we were given literally no opportunity to take action and received the ticket anyway, but his privileges were revoked and he received the ticket despite my having registered the plate. May I ask that you kindly reinstate his parking privileges and revoke the parking ticket. For the purposes of tracing, the phone number from which I placed the call to register the plate is within the details of this complaint. Thank you.Business response

Thank you for your complaint; To provide exact details for this claim we would need a license plate number.
In the meantime I can provide general information. When a person calls in to register it is indicated on our voicemail registrations for more then 3 days within a 7 day period are not accepted unless authorized by the property manager. The information is also in the condo rules that each unit owner will have. If the guest is registering online it also indicates max is 3 days within a 7 day period. All of this information is providing warnings. From the information you provided I am going to assume your guest stayed more then 3 days within a 7 day period which is why there parking is revoked for over registration.
In order to have the parking reinstated you will need to contact the property manager and show proof the person does not live on the property. They will provide us the information and at that point the plate will be reinstated.

Dear Carleton Parking Management, I am writing to contest a parking ticket that was issued to me on 14/05/2023 at 3:24 AM for infraction number ********. While I attempted to use your online platform to pay for my parking, I encountered multiple issues with the website and was not able to receive a confirmation. I filled in my information as required, and assumed that my request had gone through. However, I now realize that it wasn't received due to the website issues. Despite attempting to contact an agent, I have not been able to reach anyone. The only response I receive is to press the two when calling your number, but unfortunately, this does not work. As a regular subscriber to your parking service, I am disappointed with the lack of support and guidance that I have received in this matter. Given the technical difficulties experienced with the website and the unavailability of your agents, I request that this parking ticket be cancelled. Thank you for the email; Regarding registering for visitors parking we do not charge to pay for parking at any of our corporations, please confirm you were using the correct website as our website does not offer a pay option. The website *********************** allows you to input your information with no option to pay, once completed you will receive a green confirmation box that states; "thank you for your registration" and all the information you input. For the night the ticket was issued we do not have a registration for plate; *******. I also took a look at all vehicle's that registered to unit 1876 Summerfield and there has been no registrations since May 8. We have no callbacks regarding this issues; when you pressed 2 to speak with an agent did you leave a voicemail?
If you wish to continue to contest the ticket you can do so directly with the City of Ottawa.

The vehicle has been registered via leaving a voicemail at the indicated number at ******* *****, Kanata, on April 16 in the evening, for 3 nights, however, on the third night (the vehicle was there only 2 nights actually), at 3:24 AM a ticket was issued. There have been no phone calls made to the number provided in the voicemail for any questions or concerns with registration, etc. It's the third time we're attempting to call the company, and there is no option to speak with anyone, only to leave a voicemail. There is also no e-mail to communicate with them directly. I feel that the ticket has to be waived since the registration has been made, however, no return communication with concerns was made and it was a random give.Business response

We see this plate was ticketed for over registering. The condo has set rules that your only allowed to visit for a maximum of 3 days in a 7 day period. This is also stated to you each time you call in. You ticket was issued because you exceeded the amount of days allowed on site breaking condo rules.

I am rejecting this response because:Over the phone when I called it was indicating that if we need to extended over 3 days we have to call and that is what we did. I find it unfair to ticket a vehicle when the instructions given over the phone in voice message recording were followed, and in case there were any issues with registration, a return phone call/communication was never made, although the call back number was provided in the voice mail. If it was communicated in return that there will be issues with registration, we would find a different accommodation. I kindly request that you waive the fees in a good faith due to the communication absence from your part.

Thank you for reaching out. if you call now to ************ you will see that it says if you want an extension you must contact the property management company. Not parking control. This is stated very clear. as its the condo ( board of directors) has to approve any extension. this is also stated in your condo rules and regulations. The 3 days in 7 is based on the days your register if you register for 3 you are registered for 3. if you only use 2 there is no way for anyone to know this. as you are registered for 3 days not 2. so with the the days you registered for you are over the 3 days in 7 allowed by the condo.
If you would like to speak to someone in the office you must call during business hours and select option 2. as option 1 is to register your car. I also ran your phone number in our system and see no voicemail from you looking to speak to anyone, just your registrations.
As per the very clear condo rules at the building you live at your car was in violation of the parking rules and there for war issued a parking infraction for doing so. We have clearly time and dated stamped registrations from you showing you went over the 3 days in 7.

If you are unable to waive it, I do kindly request to lower the fee at least as it's clearly was a miscommunication on both end and not just misunderstanding on my end. We ran the phone number provided and see no call on the 17th from that number leaving any type of voicemail. Any voicemail looking for a direct call back is addressed within 48 business hours. As for cancellation for the ticket. the ticket is valid from all proof on our end so the ticket would stand. as for lowering the amount. payment amounts are set by the City of Ottawa we have no authority and are not capable of lowering city of Ottawa parking tickets. You would have to contest your ticket with the City of Ottawa.

I have a record of calling you on April 16th at 7:39PM, NOT April 17th. I'm very disappointed with the way your management is acting, as I have no heard back from you with regards to any issues, although the return number WAS left on the voicemail.
Also, It's very disappointing that you have no way to contact you via e-mail (in writing), only via phone an voice messages - where you can claim that you have "never receive anything", while if it would be in writing, you would not be able to do so.

This company has been harassing its residents by issuing them parking tickets that are unlawful. At first they bans a visitors vehicle that doesn’t reside overnight and only comes for a couple hours during the day. When asked for explanation they said the car has been visiting too many times. Now that I parked the car in my reserved spot they gave out the ticket even though the property owner( which is me) did not make any complaints towards it.Business response

Thank you for providing the ***** number in question, ***** ******* is a resident this person lives on the property and is parking in visitors parking which is why they will be issued tickets regardless if they try to register. Visitors parking is for visitors only, if a unit owner needs to use visitors parking they must have an approval prior to parking from the property manager. If a unit owner uses visitors parking day or night they will be ticketed. If this person is not a resident they can call the property manager and provide proof they do not live on the property (drivers license and vehicle ownership)

March 4: Registered my car for visitor parking overnight (Mar 4-5), accepted (green banner). even tried to register it later and got a red banner saying my car was already registered for this (took a screenshot at 9:19pm) March 5: I go get my car, to run errands, no ticket, nothing, I return and park my car on the road for the day and night March 6: I get to my car at 6:50am and having a ticket on it. Ticket is dated for Mar 5 early am. Thank you for the information.
We see 2 reason for your ticket. the number one reason is it was not registered. at this location cars have to register between 1am-7am. you registered on 4-3-23 at 00:07. so 7 min after midnight for one overnight. This registered you for the 1am-7am period of the 4th as requested. your ticket was issued on 5-3-23 at 5 13 am. So the following overnight period of 1am-7am. this shows you stayed over for 2 nights but only registered for one.
We also see that on your registration on 4-3-23 you registered to Green Banner Place. 11-25C ( odd # ) Banner Rd. this is corporation number CCC 127. however the ticket on 5-3-23 you were parked on the neighboring condo ********* *******. 1,3,5,7,9 (odds) Banner Road. cooperation number CCC 93. So our records show not only was this not registered it was parked on the wrong property.
This had also been explained over the phone by our staff.

I am rejecting this response because: I have had no phone contact with anybody from this company (after calling daily and multiple messages). I also parked where there was a parking spot available, not based on house number, as this is not a clear instruction (the visitor parking in the back was full due to snow build up). There is also no clear instructions on the timing of when things need to be registered by. The website has no information. This does not resolve the issue at hand. Unfortunately there is rules that apply to everyone. if there is no parking at your condo due to snow this does not allow you to park on another condos private property. This would be illegal parking. We have provided all proof that this ticket is valid. We are happy to speak to you on the phone about this no problem at all.
