    ON JUNE 8 2022 I ENTERED INTO A CONTRACT WITH Quality Canadian Improvements inc.TO HAVE NEW ROOFING AND OVERHANG INTALLED AT A COST OF $26,758.40 TO MY HOME AT 2 MEGAN COURT. THE CONTRACTOR STATED THAT HE COULD NOT START UNTIL 13 JUL, ON THE 13TH THEY DID NOT START BUT DID SAY THEY WERE ABOUT TO AND NEEDED A DEPOSIT $7000.00 WHICH I HAD PAID. I STATED I WAS ABOUT TO TRAVEL ON VACATION THEY SAID IT WOULD GET DONE AND I COULD SETTLE WHEN I GET BACK. I GOT BACK IN SEPTEMBER 1, AND NO WORK HAD BEEN CARRIED OUT..THEY FINALLY SHOWED UP TO START OCTOBER DURING WIND AND RAIN SEASON AND WOULD WORK A DAY OR TWO A WEEK OCTOBER 21, I GAVE ANOTHER DEPOSIT OF $7800.00 FINALLY ON DECEMBER 7 THEY SAID THEY WERE ABOUT TO FINISH UP AND ASKED FOR THE FINAL PAYMENT $11,958.40.SO HE COULD PAY HIS PEOPLE IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE SO I WROTE THE CHECK HE TOOK OF TO THE BANK AND SHORTLY AFTER HIS CREW LEFT AS WELL. I WENT OUTSIDE THE JOB WAS NOT FINISHED. I CALLED KEN THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY HE SAID THEY WOULD RETURN TO SEE MY COMPLAINTS. NOT HEARING BACK I BECAME DISGUSTED AND WROTE On Jan 9, 2023, you never started work until the end of Sept and several weeks went by with exposed screws going into my roof from open ended material attached and synthetic underlayment tearing in the wind from not being properly covered possibly led to water ingress. After the last big rainfall we had, i called to tell you that i had water staining my walls and ceiling in my Livingroom and you said you would come over tomorrow (6 JAN 2023) i have not seen you and I will wait no further for the next rainfall for my attic insulation and ceiling to be ruined. of which probally already should be replaced because covered insulation does not dry and will mold. THEY SHOWED UP THE NEXT WEEK TIGHTENED A FEW SCREWS AND SAID THE WINTER HAS SET IN AND HE WOULD CARRY OUT FURTHER REPAIRS NEXT SPRING I CALLLED HE ASURED ME HE HAS NOT FORGOTTEN BUT I STILL HAVE WORK I PAID FOR UNFINISHED AND THROUGH WITH CALLING

    We completed the job as the contract stated when the job was completed there was some leftover steel the customer wanted it put underneath the overhang on the back we agreed to do it for $700 as the steel was already there but there was not enough steel to put it in the direction that would look good he said he didn’t care as long as it was covered so we installed it the The steel in a horizontal position instead of vertical as to the customers wishes there was not enough steel to complete it so there is one piece missing that’s all he was paying for was labour that’s how it was left

    every time he has called me I have gone to see him and take care of any problems or issues their were 

    it is now Been brought to my attention that the back east trough is bent I will go there and take a look at it if there is a problem I will fix it at no cost it is under warranty

    I spoke with the customer on the phone and I have agreed to give him his $700 back for the steel that we put underneath the porch as he is unsatisfied with it so I will return the money and fix the east troughs

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 19935193, and find that this resolution is unsatisfactory to me.
    there was also the issue of water staining on my living room ceiling which was not there until the contractor put holes in my roof and a previous leak in the garage which was garanteed would not be there after agreeing to new roof that also the contractor agreed to adress

    We have repaired the roof.  Our painter numerous times has contacted him and he says he wants to wait till it rains more.  We will continue to keep having our painter call.  But as far as we are concerned all areas of complaint have been addressed.  Thanks.

    I am rejecting this response because:the rain gutter was not supporting the amt of water and was pulling away from the house and the siding was not properly reinstalled and also pulls away in the wind

    We purchased a new roof in August this year-2022. The contract was for the house, garage and 4 bundles of shingles for the shed. The owner of the company-*** suggested we pay the out sourced company cash and let them do the shed as well. It was agreed upon-$100. 00 cash for the small shed. We were told any and all problems or issues would be dealt with immediately. When they finished the house and garage the owner came by and wanted to be paid because he was in town from Grafton. In good faith we gave him the bank draft for $13,331.18. We were told they would be back that Thursday Aug 25 or 26th depending on weather to finish the job- shed, satellite dish not removed( questioned them 4 times on days they were working on roof). There is also an area we are concerned about at top of roof. They never came back. I have called *** the owner 4 or 5 times. Each time I was told that it would be dealt with that week. Still no service. Now he does not answer my calls. We only want the contract fulfilled.
