Hi Mr. *******,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns regarding the recent installation of your over-the-range microwave. We regret to hear that you are dissatisfied with the service provided and appreciate the opportunity to address the matter.
After thoroughly reviewing the details of your installation, we want to reassure you that we exclusively work with licensed contractors for tasks requiring certification. In your case, the installation was assigned to a licensed HVAC technician, qualified to assess and provide a venting solution if the existing setup did not meet building code requirements. Fortunately, no such modifications were necessary.
The work order specified a standard over-the-range microwave installation, which entails removing the old unit and replacing it with the new one. This scope does not include additional services such as venting modifications, electrical work, or cabinet alterations.
In this instance, the old microwave had already been removed before our contractor’s arrival. The cabinet depth is 15 inches, while the new microwave measured 12.5 inches in depth. During the installation, it was identified that a 2x4 spacer was needed to install the microwave so the door could open fully. Although the installer did not have this material on hand, you kindly provided one. As a result, the installer proceeded with the installation without charging any additional labor fees, even though this service fell outside the scope of a standard installation.
Ultimately, the installation was completed successfully by a licensed and insured contractor. We strive to ensure our services meet the highest standards and value your feedback as an opportunity for improvement. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.QuickContractors.com

This unfortunate incident could had been avoided if the technician would have listened to my initial observation regarding fit instead of proceeding with the installation or just measuring the unit and the cabinet opening first which I can assure you he did not. **** also provided two spacers to be used with a microwave installation. The rear spacer unfortunately did not conform to our unit and couldn't be used but the upper spacer to be used between the bottom of the upper cabinet and the unit to provide additional handle clearance could have been use and was not. We found the technician sent was unwilling to listened, did not communicate his view of the situation and only after the ******* installation was explained to him did he ask for the 2x4 spacer which I provided him with and the screws to attach it.Review from Dan C

I contacted the Nanaimo **** ***** Oct 21, 2024 regarding installation of a gas dryer. I was advised that the cost for a gas dryer installation would be $209.00 plus tax. I paid the total amount ($234.08) and booked my intall appoimtment online the same day for Monday Nov 18, 2024 between 7am & 12pm. There was never any mention of additional fees. I received a reminder email Nov 16, 2024 from Quickcontractors.com regarding my install appointment and once again there was no mention of any additional fees. On Monday Nov 18, 2024, I received a call from Quickcontractors.com at 11am, after waiting for four hours, advising me that I needed to pay $50.00 for a gas permit before the work to install my gas dryer could proceed. I advised the person I was speaking with that I had paid for the gas dryer install Oct 21, 2024. I was then told that this was an additional fee on top of the amount I had previously paid. I told the person I was speaking with there is no way they didn’t know they needed a gas permit to do gas work and I said that considering Quickcontractors.com whole business appears to be scheduling this type of work it was ridiculous, ************** *** ***** ***** to call a customer up on the day of install after making them wait around for four hours and demand more money from them. I was then put on hold while the person I was speaking with consulted with their manager. They returned to the call and advised me that their manager had told them either I pay the additional fee right now or the plumbing and gas company would skip my appointment and go on to the next one. I told them I was not going to pay an additional fee and stated that I wanted my money back. The person I was speaking with advised me to contact **** ***** for a refund and the call was ended. **** ******* ** ********* *************** *********** *** ****** * ***** ****** ****** *********** ******* **** **** ** exercise extreme caution.QuickContractors.com Inc Response

Hi ***,
Thank you for reaching out. We apologize for the inconvenience. We should not have missed the appointment and should have looked into other solutions for you. In the Trusted Pro complaint, I can see that Nancy reached out to offer you the installation without additional charges. We understand you have already had the range installed, and we are no longer needed.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused.Review from Kim R

Purchased 2 toilets from **** *****. They setup a contractor to install them through Quick Contractors. On my first install I waited all day and no one showed. Did not even give me a courtesy call. I complained to **** ***** and they set me up with another install. SAME RESULT. I got a refund from **** ***** and hired my own plumber. I would never recommend this *********** company to anyone. *** **QuickContractors.com Inc Response

Paid for a service that was never delivered. I purchased a range hood from **** ***** and arranged through them to have the existing over the range microwave removed and replaced with the new range hood. I paid for the service and awaited arrival of the new range hood to schedule installation. I got a call to schedule installation from a woman **** * **** ****** ****** who did not seem to understand that "re and re" means remove and replace. She went to consult with her "technical staff" and announced that I would have to pay for a separate on-site inspection before installation could be carried out. I asked how much that would cost and she said she didn't know, I would have to ask **** *****. I went to **** ***** and they told me they didn't have a way to input an on-site into their system. I called QuickContractors back and got the same woman. I explained that a pre-inspection shouldn't be required because there was already an exhaust vent in the wall and an electrical outlet immediately above the existing unit. I offered to send pictures. ** **** ****** * *** ***** *** **** ************ **** ******** ** *** ***** *** ** *** ***** I asked to speak with a member of the "technical staff" and was told I could not because I didn't have an installation scheduled. I asked to escalate and was transferred to another woman, **** *** **** ***** ****** *** * ***** ********* ** *** *********** She too insisted that I would have to go back to **** ***** and pay an additional, unspecified charge. I gave up, and hung up. Why a company would hold itself out as providing a service for a specific price and then refuse to provide that service when contracted to do so is beyond me. **************** ** * ********* ******* ******** ** ***** **** ********* **** **** **** ** ******* *** ****** ** ****** ******** **** ** **** **** **** * ***** * **** ******* *** **** ***** ********* ** ** ******** **** **** * **** ** *****QuickContractors.com Inc Response

We apologize for any confusion. Looking at the file, the installation service request we received was not for the appliance you purchased, and we needed **** ***** to issue a quote service for the electrical to be changed. Our records shows that the customer was told to contact **** ***** to help resolve this. We received a request to cancel instead of proceeding with the quote.
We will use this feedback to improve our communication.

Purchased a vinyl shed in June 2023. Paid over $600. for assembly by QuickContractor.com. *** ***********. They sent a 2 guy team who said they had never assembled a shed. They did not use the instruction manual. After 4 hours they left, leaving a large number of screws and rods/tubes not used in assembly. some e.g. support tubes for door panels, wall panels not screwed to roof panels. skylight panel not securely attached to roof After calling company, they sent another team to correct the deficiencies. They corrected some. I asked specifically about installing some ceiling clips. Assembler told me the clips were used to string things from the roof. When they left, they again left some of the 'extra' screws but they took the clips with them. I called the shed company to request more clips, because the manual showed the clips were used to secure the roof to the gable ends of the shed. After receiving the additional clips, I installed them myself but found I did not have enough of the correct screws. I checked some of the screws holding the walls to the roof and found that the short clip screws were used but the screws were in the holes but too short to attached the roof. Just a filler to look completed. ***** ** ** ********** **** **** ** *** ******** ****** * ***** *** ********* ***** ****.Review from Tim S

Never again. **** ***** had them install a dishwasher for me (for an outrageous price). Couple months later leaked everywhere (under kitchen tiles, into basement through floor) because of a faulty washer at connection. Quick contractors clearly missed the split washer and blamed it on the machine. Won’t come back to install, ignoring my emails, etc. Installer forgot his 4 wheel dolly. Called them back, said he’d come get it. Never came back. Dishwasher has been sitting in my garage for almost 4 months now (only bought it 9 months ago). Read that parts start to go if they sit too long. Thanks Quick Contractors! Warranty runs out in 3 months too.. This company takes no accountability, stay away. Will never buy an appliance from **** ***** again, and will DEFINITELY not recommend Quick Contractors to anyone!Review from Sophia T.

The Aurora **** ***** set me up with Quick Contractor to assemble my gazebo. I call and spoke to John Vinage about leveling the land so I could put down large patio stones. On top of the stone an outdoor rug. He said the company doesn't not do that job. They sent me the invoice to to assemble the gazebo $600. On an email I notice the contractor's name. I called him and I explained to him the work I wanted done as mentioned above. He told me to send him a picture of my backyard. I did and he came back with a quote of $461. I was charged $85 for a quotation fee. I dispute the charge Quick Contractor removed it. July 1, 2023 the contractor came and put up the gazebo and leveled it. I had to leave before the job was finish because my daughter had to go to the hospital. Got home the grass under the patio was not dug up at all. I would like my $365 back. Also, I tried calling Quick Contractor they block my number. **** ********* ** **** ********Review from SERGIO S

I purchased a gazebo from **** Hamilton, Ont. Install was paid in full at the same time. The installer **** used was QuickContractors.com. Contractor gave me the date to install. On that day contractor rep told me they were delayed and would come next day but didn't show up. On the third day they came and assembled the gazebo. So far so good. 'AFTER' they drilled holes in concrete for the base plate bolts, they told me they didn't bring any bolts. Another delay. They left and came back with "nails" too small for the holes. I suggested to use proper concrete bolts. The worker left after calling his supervisor to get the proper bolts. More delays. He returned with 'cheap' plastic drywall anchors. His reason was he had them and wouldn't have to buy anything. * ******* *** **** *** *** ****** I knew I might have to pay extra for anchoring hardware. It says so on the **** installation invoice. During this whole ordeal contractor Supr. wouldn't return my calls and didn't show up until the fourth time. He brought "nails" with a plastic insert which would've required to drill new holes on the base plates and nails were too short for proper anchoring anyway. He finally agreed to get proper anchors so he left with my agreement that I would pay for them if he showed me the receipt. Another delay...To avoid further stress, I paid for the anchor install "twice" since it was included in the original **** invoice. Check their work before they leave! They assembled a 10×10 steel gazebo with steel roof. Cost to hire them was $517. They put just 'one' , yes 'one' lag bolt in each of the four posts. This is not to code. And they expected that to hold up to a wind? I installed the other 12 lag bolts myself.
