** * ***** **** * ***** ** ***** *********** I DO NOT recommend this company. Quote was way under quoted. Movers took an extremely long time to load and unload. The 2 fellows loading were great but the damage was unbelievable and as I am unpacking I am finding more and more damage to furniture and other items. The floor runners were filthy and left marks on my previous homes' floor. The wardrobe boxes provided were dirty and broken, only one had a cross bar to hang clothes, the other 2 I had to just pile clothes in and one was very small. They did not wrap all the furniture as promised. The one fellow unloader went into my home and just used my microwave without asking like he owned the place. Don't give them a credit card #, they illegally kept the card number without my permission and charged it without telling me and the next day when I went to pay, I gave them my credit card # to pay, then checked my credit card accounts and both were charged. I had to fight ***** *** **** for a credit. The owner of the company must be in hiding, ******** ** ****** *** **** ** **** * ****** *** the owner of the company said he would call me but has not. The sales manager was **** and disrespectful to me. I must say the office gal Nicole was a delight to speak with.Review from Dean L

**** ******* ***** ** ** **** ** *** *************** *********** ********* **** *** *** ***** ****** ******* **** **** ** ** *****. They damaged furniture that they even wrapped and taped themselves! They delivered some of my furniture one month and the rest in another month, forgetting some in the warehouse. Without admitting fault or a lack of proper planning, the reason was stated to be that the truck wasn’t large enough — yet it fit in the the same-sized truck when leaving my home. The company’s Principal is involved in everything, exhibiting some ************ tendencies such as ************* emails, and surely slowing down the process. At the Kitchener location, in particular, my car sat with them for nearly 2 months and there were 1900 km added to the odometer. Nobody will admit to that, however. Jessie stated thhat couldn’t be possible because it was locked in the yard and the owner had the keys and was gone on vacation the whole time (a bad reason for me to wait for my car) and another person said they were waiting for a proper truck. Imagine being without your car for two months and then add this other stuff on top of it. What a mess. Jessie also provided last-minute updates and said zero when the delivery was botched. ** *** ***** ******** ****** ****** ***** ******* ******** * *** **** *** ****** *** ********** *** ****** ** * ******** *** **** *** ******* ****** **** ***** **** *** ******** **** ** ***** ********* ** ****** ** *** ******** ***** **** ***** What a way to deal with customers. After taking nearly $700 deposit, I was abandoned by Jessie. ** *** **** ** ** ********** **** ** **** Great talk, garbage action, that had me and friends moving stuff to a storage unit close to midnight. ** *** *** ******** ** *** ***** ****** **** *** ***** ***** ** **** ******** **************** *** Still waiting for my deposit refund since they did zero for me.Review from Marina S

** * ***** *** **** **** * * **** * ****** The movers were late, they tried to charge us for travel twice, they damaged a lot of our property and our newly renovated & painted walls, and we had items that were loaded onto the truck that never made it to our house. The worst part was that when I tried to put in a claim for the damaged and lost items, I was met with hostility, dismissiveness and ** ******* **** *** ************** treatment from the Office Manager. She basically blamed me for the damaged, made up new stipulations on what was covered, and told me that ****** shows what can be covered in a claim. I highly recommend not using this service because in my experience you will either be over charged, have missing items, or your items will be damaged. And after all that you will be met with a total lack of customer service or professionalism from their Manager.Review from M. H.

*** ***** *** **** *** ********. We were told part way through moving that we had to pay in full or they wouldn’t move another item. When we spoke with the owner on the phone we explained we were repeat customers and have never paid until the job was complete. He agreed to allow us to pay approx 60% now and the remaining balance once the last item was removed from the truck (even have this in an email) then with about 30 minutes to go workers were told to stop working until we paid the remaining balance. The owner ******* drove to our home was completely **** ********** to take our stuff if we didn’t pay. Hi *******, You must be mistaken as the owner of the business is one of the most kind-hearted and genuine individuals. We always require payment before offload. Nothing was damaged, the movers did a great job. There was no need to threaten not to pay your bill when a service was completed for you professionally and properly. Actually, we provided multiple photos of damaged furniture, dishes and boxes in which we never received a response. We also mentioned to the movers that we were concerned with all the moving boxes being damaged as well as the fact that there was no red carpets for the movers to walk on. We were told they forgot the carpets. The owner told us on the phone we didn’t have to make full payment u til AFTER the move was completed. We also have an email stating this on the day of the move. Your owner decided to change his mind drove down our street at an excessive speed slammed on his breaks and started yelling at my husband and threatening if he didn’t pay we would leave. He absolutely is an arrogant man who went back on his word. We also after the move emailed multiple photos of broken items. MULTIPLE. And no one responded. I had dishes broken, furniture chairs with chips and dents, broken pictures, chipped furniture, broken bookshelves, scratched and chipped walls etc. No one from your company followed up with any information regarding reimbursements for damaged goods. No one apologized for behaviour. And no one responded to our email. Also please note we did not threaten to NOT pay the bill. Our precocious moves with your company were always paid in full AFTER it was completed. No one ever informed us of this policy change until the day of which is why your owner and my husband negotiated for us to pay a final payment after the move was completed. My thought… your movers saw how nervous I was with all the damaged boxes, and chips and I continuously questioned why there was so much damaged to so many of the boxes labeled fragile that they called the owner and he got scared we weren’t going to lay and he went back on his word… to which again we can provide proof of such. ** *** *** **** ******** ***** ********* ** *** *** ***** ** *** **** ** ****** ***** **** **** ********Review from Gudrun O

This was our second time using Grand River Moving. Peng and Shaggy (I apologize if I did not get his name correct), did a great job moving my Mom’s possessions from her house to the condo, they even helped pack up the ******, which was going to another location. They were pleasant and helpful throughout, even though the job took longer than expected. Nicole provided the quote and answered all our questions in a timely manner. Thank-you.Review from Anna F

Grand River moved us in August of 2022. I've just finally unpacked the last box and my worst suspicions are confirmed. Not all of our stuff made it to the new house.
