I had called to schedule a pool closing for a Friday week of October 16th or 23rd. I had requested a minimum notice of 2-3 days so I can confirm If I am able to accommodate the closing or not. Sky view called in the evening of 18th at 4:43 and emailed me at 5 pm to let me know of the closing scheduled for the morning of 19th between 7-8:30 am. I was able to email back by 6:34 to cancel the pool closing due to personal reasons and that I am not able to accommodate last minute notice which I had specified during my initial call. I had purchased services from them prior this year and during each repair I was notified, and my permission and confirmation was obtained before moving forward with any repairs. I had expected the same service. I was not home on the 19th and was notified of by my neighbours of the closing and by the time I made it home they had completed the closing. I asked skyview why they would go ahead without my confirmation or permission and they said it is their verbal company policy that once I ask to schedule it will be done without sufficient notification and I have to accept it. last minute scheduling is not mentioned in their terms of services or policy on the website. I agree to pay for the equipment/accessories used and purchased but I will not pay for service for which I did not agree. If they do not have staff to confirm the days bookings customers should not have to pay for it. I mentioned this is my first time pool closing with them I expected same service and notice which they provided prior and I am not aware of their verbal policy to which they denied my specifications verbal agreement to provide sufficient notice, and they do not confirm before scheduling and ***** in ****** does. This is unfair and extortion. I had given them same amount of time to cancel so why should I have to pay for their services. If they were unable to reach me for any reason they had the option to not schedule the closing.

    Hello,

I have heard from the company as they are unwilling to negotiate the amount charged to me. I have offered to pay full for the equipment and material used and I requested discount and time to pay the remainder of charges. But they have refused to remedy the issue and have put my account in collections and will add on collection fees.

I have reached out to other pool companies to understand if last minute notices are common thing but all companies have given me the option to schedule the closing
