    Jan. 20/21 **** I had to get a cab from the London airport because our flights had been delayed multiple times and my ride could no get me. The airport called cabs for people and they happened to be yellow taxi company. I gave the address, and asked how they charged, as I never take cabs so I wanted to know up front. He said it was $3 ( and change) base rate and then $1 per Km ( which I found out later, after calling the company that it was actually $2/Km ). My destination was ****km from the airport, yet once I got there I was charged $45. The math didn't add up, but the guy was quite new, so I paid it as it was now 2 something in the morning and I had a cold tired child with me. I called the next day asking for a manager, who didn't happen to be in, but a message was left and I spoke to the woman who answered the phone, who was quite nice and she had informed me of the proper rate, but was not sure when I asked why I was charged 45$ if the destination was 12km away, and my actual bill should have been about $28 dollars. I left my details and was told the manager ***** would call me when he got in, which would be soon.I waited a few hours then called back and he came to the phone. I explained the situation and he again confirmed the change rates. He didn't really have an answer other than to say that it is an estimated rate and governed by the city but that he would ask the drive, and look into it and he would call me back. I waited a few days, with no call back, so I called again. I was informed that he was busy and would call me back later. This happened a few times. By this point I am realizing that he is avoiding my calls. I called the next day and the man who answered did not answer with the business name, and he was very rude, asking me a bunch of questions, then said he will leave him a message and he that he is busy. I said he was supposed to call me back days ago, and then man rudely said he'll call when he can, he's a busy man. I waited another couple of days, and called again. The same rude man answered and said is this that woman again... he's busy and you need to stop calling here.. I said is that how you treat customers there? You really should have someone else answer the phone as you will be losing business with that attitude , he hung up on me. I called directly back and the very nice woman answered. She said he will call me back in about 10 min. All I want is to be reimbursed the over charge on my card and move on. Avoiding customers is not the way to run a business.She said he will call back soon , and that was 2 days ago now. I have since called my credit card company and put in a dispute, which was accepted, so there will be follow up there.
