I contacted them to start the service on our newly purchased house, they sent me an email with account number, account details and requested my credit card information before they could even check if they offer service on my area. After some research i have found out that they have no Internet cable service anywhere near me, yet i was asked to pay, and they would send me the equipment to install it myself. They have no technicians to come to your place, no guarantees that their equipment works at your house, yet they need credit cards asap to even consider processing your requests. Dear ****, Thank you for sharing your review via BBB and we apologize for any misunderstanding while placing the service request with our team. Unfortunately with the provided information from your end like your email and name, we are unable to locate any order but nonetheless this is not the kind of experience we would want for any of our customer. Though we are unable to locate your order details but I can assure you that the team would have sent you the payment notification email in order for you to understand the upfront charges which will be paid by the customer once the order is placed. It is not necessary that you have to pay via phone for your order but you can pay using the CIK Telecom account number which was emailed to you but a credit card is required for monthly authorization of services as the services offered by us are prepaid services. Since we are a 3rd party ISP, for installation of services we have to depend on our underlying carrier. Even though we are able to provide services via different carriers in most part of the provinces of ON, QC, BC, MB, AB and SK but when staff checked the availability of services for your address via our underlying carrier portal they were notified that the services are not available. Upon receiving the update of non-availability of the services at your address, our team contacted you to update that the services are not available at your address. However at this moment, I can only provide you above information on the basis of the process which is followed by us and until we investigate the order placed by you was from which name and for which location, we would not be able to provide you with a convincing solution. I hope you are satisfied with the above response and the information provided and rest assured once our services will be available in your location, we would be happy to serve you as one of our customer. First of all, I would like to apologize to you for all the inconvenience you have had related to the service and this is not the kind of experience we would want any of our customer to go through with. I have investigated your account and found that yes, there is a significant drop in the speed at your address and even our technician who visited your location notified us that the maximum speed which can be provided at your house is up to 700M. Considering this unfortunate situation, we are left with no choice instead to switch your plan to Speed of up to 500M. As I can see, your change of speed is already processed from our end upon your confirmation. Please help us confirm in case you are still facing any issue with the internet speed. ***** ******* ****** * ***** ** *********** ***** ******** ********** I was a customer for almost 2 years and it came to a point where I lost my job and couldn't make my monthly payment. They cut off my services for non-payment and I decided I would make the payment as soon as I received my first paycheck from my new job. About a month later, I looked at my account again and noticed there was a balance showing of 2 months worth of services. So they actually charged me another month of service while I was cut off. I called the office to speak to somebody about the issue and told them that they cannot charge me for services that I did not receive. The agent on the phone would not listen to me and didn't seem to care about the issue and was making all kinds of excuses so I asked to speak to his supervisor. The supervisor was just as bad and was speaking right over top of me and * ******** *** ** **** ** *** ******* he was not listening to me. *** ************ **** ** *** ***** ***** ** **** **** ******* ** **** ***** *** I ended up hanging up the phone because I realized there's no way they're going to help me or even try to rectify the problem. First of all I would like to apologize to you for the dissatisfaction you had with the services and we would definitely try to resolve your concern from our end. Yes, we noticed that your services were blocked due to non-payment since 29th May however since it was never cancelled by you until 9th July, we were continuously being billed for the active line at your address via our underlying carrier. When you called up on 9th July to cancel the services, you were also informed to return the devices back to us but unfortunately we haven’t received the devices yet and that is why your account has charges added for the device purchase fee as well. Our team had been constantly trying to reach out to you by phone but were not able to connect with you. **** ***** They are the worst company i have ever had to deal with. Every month service goes down. You cannot call 911 with their phone plan and sometimes people cant call you. They don't care about their customers, can leave you without internet for days. You have to call them 100 times, they can put you on hold for an hour. ***** ******* ** ****** ******* ******* *** ***********. They don't track what they sold to you and when you are cancelling with them - selling you that device again. Their billing department cannot find paid invoice with the proof of sale, you have to find it yourself. When you send them their device, pay for the shipping and provide them with the tracking number, in a week you will be charged for that device anyway (even if you prove that it is delivered) and will not get any refund or response! ***** **** ** *** *****Review from Yezdi G

I have given CIK a lot of business despite downtime, no internet, poor customer service, and at times I never got a straight answer. Despite all of the above, I still referred customers and never got any compensation or recognition.
I was constantly informed that I could get the high speed service and never got it .. first yes I can get and then someone would call me and say no.
I was told that my usage was high which is why the service was slow. I can go on and on with a long list of reasons why never to deal with CIK.
March 2022. I just got fed up with this company and decided to cancel the service. When I call, some ******* woman speaks on the phone and it was impossible to communicate. Finally I got someone in customer service after several attempts and was transferred 5 times before some agent comes on the line and threatens me to take me to collections if a March bill was not paid. I have been using ****** all of March and wanted to cancel and return the equipment. All I want is to close this chapter and call it a day. I do not want to deal with this matter any more or unnecessarily hear from collections. I do not owe CIK a dime. I was supposed to receive an email from CIK to return the equipment and still nothing on email. Hence, I am not sure what to do or how to proceed. *************************************************************** **************
