Delivery was earlier than originally quoted , tech service while under construction was prompt, the engineered drawings were done well and I had no issue getting permits.i have already recommended future to another local business owner. Highly recommended based on my experience!

My dad had put a deposit down on a building and then he passed away and they will not refund any of the deposit… they say that it will be put forward onto a drawing… The cost was 2,500 and to be put to a drawing is not in the same value

Well really think that a delivery should be dilervers and unloaded by your company .could not find equipment to unload had to hand bomb it all down

I started to buy one of their building and paid the deposit. After my circumstances changed and I was not able to buy the building, I was told that my deposit would be held up until someone else purchased the same building, and then my deposit would be refunded. I was led to believe that the building had been sold, and I fully expected my deposit to be refunded. INSTEAD, I was told that my deposit would NOT be refunded, and that it would be held until such time as I decided to order a new building. As I have no ability or need to purchase a new building, I expected my refund to be returned to me, as soon as possible. Now, I’m told that my deposit will NOT be refunded, and will held indefinitely until such time as I decide to purchase a building, even if I cannot afford or need one. This is blatantly wrong, and I strongly urge Future Building to refund my deposit at soon as possible. Suffice to say, once my deposit has been refunded, I will NOT be doing any business with this company in the future.

A signed contract does exist which clearly indicates that engineering deposits are non-refundable. We empathize with the changes in their personal circumstances; however, this does not invalidate the contract that was entered into in good faith. We remain available to allocate their deposit to any purchase option that would meet their needs.

Called the Burnaby branch to inquire about a building Then was absolutely ******* with calls and texts I explained that I am very busy and am interested but need a little more time Still on and on with constant calls and texts Then he starts to give me attitude because i was “wasting his time” and there “could potentially be “nothing in it for him “ **** * ******* ******* ******* *** ********** *** ***** *** I never went with these guys

**** * ***** **** ******* **** ********* ******** They sell you the bare minimum and then once a contract is signed, they nickel and dime the customer to get more money. Plus, there is so much NOT included, **** **** ********. Concrete, insulation, adding walls that were not included. Our little $13,000 building will end up costing us at least $40,000 in total. Plus they use small print ** *** *** *** ****** Even knowing we couldn’t put the building up right away, after reading the small print, I did what I thought was due diligence and called to clarify if we were responsible for counting every single part. We had counted the large parts but I specifically asked about the nuts & bolts. I was told I DID NOT NEED to count the 2100+ pieces of hardware that we were supposed to have received. Sure enough, when we were almost finished putting the building up, we were short at least 80 bolts. I called & was given the run-around before being told I could pay to get more & that “it was out of their control“ because we were responsible for counting all the parts within a certain number of days after delivery. We were disgusted and chose to get comparable bolts anywhere other than Future Buildings. As for the building itself? Only time will tell. It seems good now, *** *** *** ** ***** * ******* **** **** **** ** ******* ** ******** I would NEVER recommend Future Buildings & if someone chose to deal with them * ***** ****** ***** *******

Please be advised that in response to this BBB submission, we have reviewed the available information. A signed contract exists which clearly indicates all the included building components in the purchase. While foundation specifications are included in the engineered drawings, the cost of the required concrete can only be estimated by us, and ultimately it is up to the customer to source this locally as part of their project budget. Optional accessory items are regularly offered to every purchaser to further enhance their project. We provide a generous 60-day timeframe to be advised of missing or damaged items. We don’t expect customers to count the hardware pieces as these are determined by weight and calculated to provide 110% of what is required. Our factory confirmed that the appropriate amount of hardware was shipped. It is very likely that some of the bolts were dropped or otherwise misallocated and not recovered during construction; it is very easy for this to occur over several build days and especially with contractors involved. Unfortunately, beyond the 60-day timeframe, any missing or damaged pieces would need to be purchased. We are confident your building will provide you with all the intended benefits that you expect. The salesman I had , did not tell me nearly what I should have been told and another sales person stated, “ too bad he’s new and you signed! I called hours later into the weekend and left him a message, I was ignored and then phone tag. He continued then to tell me he could get my money back as he was friends with the woman in the business office . ** *** ******* ** ** **** ** ** and as more time ran. * *** ********* **** ** **** ** ** *** **** ** ** **** ***** ********* * *** ** *** ******** ***** ***** *** ** ***** ****** *** ***** * **** *** *****. My bank agreed but because it was my debit card , they couldn’t stop it and it wasn’t even pending yet. **** *** ******** ***** *** * **** **** ** ****

Please be advised that in response to this BBB review, we have reviewed this and can confirm that an agreement to purchase was in fact reviewed and signed digitally before a deposit was made. This issue had been previously escalated to management. All available options were discussed including shipping an alternate size building, delaying the delivery, transferring the deposit to another person and the possibility of the customer selling the building themselves on various online platforms. The customer was very clearly advised that the deposit was non-refundable under a breach of contract circumstance. The feedback for how our new salesperson handled the initial cancellation request was acknowledged and addressed internally. Management made every attempt to find an agreeable solution. Future Buildings remains available to work with the customer towards crediting their deposit towards another building that will work for them.

All of our building systems are engineered to site specific snow, wind & seismic loads. For this reason, we do not recommend second-hand purchases where the construction site and/or use of the building changes. An engineering review is an unfortunate necessity for second-hand purchases or inherited buildings to ensure the building is safe to erect on the new location and for any change in intended use. We can only provide new engineered drawings that reflect the new owner and location after such an engineering review is done and any required reinforcements are ordered. Often, the purchase of a new building is the better choice to avoid such additional costs/headaches associated with second-hand purchases.
