Had Whirlpool appliances forever with no issues at all, including our previous glass top stove that we had for well over a decade. Replaced all of our appliances last Feburary, not out of nessasacity, but simply for the features and newer look. Last Saturday night when I finishing cleaning up, I noticed the glass top on the stove is broken, I asked my Wife about it and she was just as shocked as I was. Called Whirlpool and ********* *** was dispatched. Tech came in today and looked, took pics and submitted them to you. Whirlpool has determined that impact caused the breakage which is totally 100% untrue. I called Whirlpool Canada and was told by a CSR that another tech could be sent for a 2nd opinion.....to do what? take a pic and send in just to be denied again?? Totally uncaring, scripted responses from your CSR team! I asked for my issue to be elevated and relieved a monotone "I'm sorry, it has been determined to be non warranty caused by impact" Hey Whirlpool Canada! It seems that your ******* ********** *** *** ******* *** telling the true story of who you have become, and I'm the idiot (and apparently a **** now as well) for spending thousands and thousands of dollars based on who you once were!Whirlpool Canada LP Response

I got an electric stove from ****** and was told fist year warranty is covered by manufacturers. one of the switch was not working less than 30 day of the purchase. I call whirlpool and booked an appointment for service person . Twice the service person didn'r show up without any notice. Third time the service person came and did inspection determined the switch is defective and the hallow sound can't be fixed. Now it has been two weeks since the service man visit and switch is not fixed yet. It is over 5 weeks and nothing is done. It outrageous a big company like them do not to stand on quality of there product and stick with their warranty commitment . It shouldn't take 5 weeks to fix a switch. I still have concern with hallow sound. I hope they get this message and look into it. Last not least they need to have a dependable repair service. Whirlpool management please take customers concerns seriously as customers are backbone of your business. I am hoping someone to contact me.Whirlpool Canada LP Response

NO GOOD. My two-year old Whirlpool fridge died, and on Christmas Day, no less. The compressor went. $1800+ for the part, plus service etc etc, so I opted to buy a brand new fridge. And guess what, I did not buy a Whirlpol. Seriously? @ Whirlpool Canada. Two years?? What garbage. *** ****** ** ******** ****** ********** ******* ****** **** ***** ****** **** * ***** ** *** *** ********* ** *** ***** **** *** ******* ** **** ***** ** * ***** **** **** **** *** **** * ******Whirlpool Canada LP Response

$10,000 refigerature, malfunctions during the warranty period. Whirlpool canada kicks the can down the road until the warranty expires and refuses to replace it. Don't waste your money *****Whirlpool Canada LP Response

I have Jennair appliances through-out my house which I meticulously maintain when required. Recently my ice dispenser deposited a piece of plastic in a drink I was preparing and I discovered one of the tabs that hold the "ice door" (flap) in place had broken off. I sourced a replacement part on-line only to find this part is now unavailable. A replacement fidge would cost me $15,000, and the part I need costs $25.00 ..... does this make any sense whatsoever? Needless to say I will not be purchasing anything from Whirlpool/Jennair again, *** ** *** **** * ** ******* ********** *** ***** ******* **** ***** *****Whirlpool Canada LP Response

We do apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused. Part availability can always vary depending on multiple factors. If you located the part number you need, it is possible a local parts distributor may have the part even if the manufacturer no longer produces it.Customer Response

had worst experience. bought a gas range dec 4, delivered dec 11th. told was digital screen but was computer based. delivered and after 1 week, stove stopped working & had no stove for xmas party. technician came after xmas told computer panel needed replacing which would take another 7 days for repair. For new stove, did not want repair. I wanted full refund instead due to misinformation on sale. called whirlpool who denied me return, argued for 2 hours on 26th and offered $75 for inconvenience or $55 reduction on extended warranty. Then 3 hours on 27th. bounced to 5 different people and departments. no one wanted to take responsibility for refund, when website clearly says could get full refund before 30 days, if unhappy with purchase. Clearly on so many different levels am unhappy. had worst CSR experience ever with whirlpool canada, let alone disappointed with range quality and misinformation given me. Advice to customers to be aware before ever purchasing with Whirlpool Canada. In past, thought Whirlpool products were good but am concerned lack of customer care or product knowledge has caused productivity to go downhill. No one is willing to assist you and will only bounce you back and forth. They do not care for the customer. Only for the sale on their end. All CSR's do is offer apology, but nothing gets done. Have written email transcripts of every conversation proving my claims and still nothing accomplished. Am in process of emailing whirlpool support. But am not holding by breath for an immediate answer. Worst nightmare experience ever! At this point in time, still left hanging as to whether or not i will get assistance or refund? So stressed and frustrated!Whirlpool Canada LP Response

I've had a new Whirlpool fridge since April 2024. Starting in August 2024, the fridge starting have problems, and eventually over the course of 3 months, broke down multiple times, with all my food becoming spoiled. During this time, I had 6 service visits, and 6 no-shows from the Whirlpool service team. Eventually, I was informed I would be supplied a new fridge since my fridge was deficient. It has been 40 days since this ordeal has started, and I still do not have a new fridge. I email and call Whirlpool multiple times a day, and whirlpool still cannot communicate or execute a proper corrective action plan. *** * ***** ******* ****** ************ **** *** ****** ******* **** **** * this is absurd.Whirlpool Canada LP Response

Unfortunately worst service I have experienced. I bought an appliance (fridge) from Whirlpool and upon arrival a door had a dent. They will not replace the fridge but only a replacement door … As per customer service, it is going to take up to 6 months to replace it (18-20 weeks). Apparently it is standard practice as per Whirlpool for customers to wait up to 6 MONTHS to enjoy a “new” appliance. Outrageous.Whirlpool Canada LP Response

********* ** *** ***** ***** * **** **** ****** I bought a dishwasher about 1.5 year ago and had to make a warranty claim at around 6 months of owning it. So far so good as they fixed it. Now its 1.5 years old and it’s not working again. Different problem. A dishwasher should last longer than this. Be aware.Whirlpool Canada LP Response

I recently purchased several high-end appliances from Jenn-Air (now acquired by Whirlpool), including a dishwasher, stove and refrigerator, expecting reliable quality products. Unfortunately, this has been far from the case. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing, *** * **** ********* ** ***** ** **** ******. Upon installation, the dishwasher was immediately non-functional, displaying an error code. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that the warranty does not cover the uninstall/reinstall process, meaning I would be required to pay to uninstall and install a defective dishwasher when I paid for a BRAND NEW working dishwasher. This is completely unacceptable—no customer should have to bear these additional costs for a brand-new, faulty appliance. A company selling appliances should be accountable for ensuring their products work correctly from the start, not passing the burden of repairs and additional costs onto their customers. To make matters worse, the refrigerator could not be installed at all because it was missing a piece. As a result, it has been weeks, and I have been unable to use my fridge or dishwasher. In addition, my stove was given to me with 2 trays when it should come with 3. I understand that occasional issues can arise with products, but Jenn-Air’s lack of accountability, selling defective products and then charging additional fees to fix what should be a brand new functional unit is completely unacceptable. It's disheartening to see a company that positions itself as a premium brand fall so short in both product quality and customer service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Jenn-Air to anyone. If you are looking for reliable appliances, look elsewhere. Jenn-Air appliances are just showpieces. They do not value their customers' time or money. I regret choosing JennAir for my appliances, and I will certainly be exploring other brands in the future.Whirlpool Canada LP Response
