On April 15, 2023 I went into the store looking for a coffee maker. There was a demo model on the shelf Platinum E6 Coffee Machine Model#JU15070 marked As Is for $1462.49 and that they weren't able to adjust the price any further. The sales agent mentioned that it was one that had never been used and that it was the old model and they have come out with something newer which is why it was priced this way. When they went to process it in their system, the price reflected a brand new model. They advised that they would have to have head office adjust the pricing on the computer. On May 14, after several emails and no resolution, I reached out to **** directly to try and get the pricing resolved. On May 16, the **** rep emailed me saying that he has talked and agreed with the buyer at Corbeil to sell the demo product at the demo price. Still no resolution and adjust the price in their system. On June 18, 2023, the sales rep emailed saying the the product was marked down to $1657.99 but he would do $1560 + tax. So apparently, they did have the ability to adjust pricing on As Is even though they said they can't and now they're trying to sell it for more than what was on the price tag. Not honouring the originally advertised price stating it was a mistake - for the past 2 months it was never pointed out that the price was a mistake.

    Hi,

    In concern to this situation.

We did have a pricing issue with our electronic tag the day the customer was in. The product should have been priced at the regular retail price but was on display for less. We had explained the price situation to the customer and informed him that the **** brand does not allow us to sell at an unauthorized price, and that it was an electronic pricing issue that our IT department was working on.

We have since been in contact with the manufacturer and have worked out a special price for this situation to offer to the customer.

We will be willing to sell it below market value in hopes to resolve the situation.

We will contact the customer today.

I am rejecting this response because:

I got a call from someone named Shawn who offered to purchase the product for $1657.99. The original sales rep had already offered this price on June 18 and in a email, said he could have lowered it to $1560. Neither of which is close to the $1462.49 that was literally advertised on the sticker.

If you can’t honour the price you advertised it at, when you have it, you should not be in business. It’s false advertising!

At this point, Corbeil could offer it to me for less than $1000 and I would never buy it or anything from them.

    Sincerely,
    ***** ******

My wife bought ****** Dishwasher from Corbeil Appliances in Oct 2021. It hasn't worked since Feb 2021. ****** finally agreed to replace the unit at the end of September 2022. ****** said that Corbeil Appliances would deliver a new appliance on October 3, 2022. Corbeil Appliances came to our home but refused to deliver the replacement dishwasher -- they said that the defective unit had to be uninstalled which neither Corbeil Appliance or ****** hand informed us of. So it came as a total surprise and shock that no one at Corbeil Appliance or ****** has been willing to assist us when they are at fault. So one year down the road we still don't have a working dishwasher and both Corbeil Appliance or ****** expect us to cover the costs of fixing their mistakes.

    Hi,

Concerning this complaint, I spoke with the client, their wife and also their lawyer today. As discussed with them, we recieved the exchange paperwork 5 days ago. We created the exchange contract and booked delivery in less than one week. The situation was expedited and was a priority from our company.

We do not offer installation or uninstall for and dishwasher. When the item was first purchased and on this exchange it is not something that we offered or can pay for on behalf of the customer.

The warranty is the responsibility of the manufacturer, in this case ****** and their warranty does state they do not cover this service either.

We did not charge any additional fees for the exchange and will waive the missed delivery fee from today in good faith as we only want to provide the best service possible.

At this time we have done everything, in a very quick and professional manner.

We will need the customer to reschedule at their convenience a time where we can pick up the old disconnected dishwasher so we can deliver the new model.

They already have the information for a professional and licensed company if needed.

We will await their call, but we cannot pay for the service they are requesting.

    Thank you

    Corbeil

I just received a delivery from Corbeil Appliances today at noon Aug 30 2022. The delivery man tried to charge my elderly Mother of 75 years $80.00 to take a rail off to get the fridge out. He wanted cash payment or the money sent to his personal email. He was very rude and intermediating. I will never order from this company again. Why would a company hire such a person.

I have been in contact with the customer to apologize for the challenging delivery, it does meet the standards that we hope to achieve.

We will pick up the fridge at no charge and deliver an new model to them next Saturday.
