I need to warn others about the ************** *** ******* approach I personally experience with this business. This is the letter I sent the owner of the business: For Bruce .: Your so-called office manager (I believe her name is Kelly) was ****, constantly interrupting, and completely *************** She did not allow me to get my message across. *** *** *** **** ** * ********* ****** Initially when I called your office to ask a question, I clearly said that the air conditioning and the furnace suddenly stopped working. I was told on the phone … Quote: “If they are both not working, it must be an electrical issue, but we will swing by to check it out anyways.” Your tradesman was here only for 5 or 6 minutes maximum. No more. He immediately said it was an electrical issue so he could not do anything about it. Before he left, I asked how much it was for at least having stopped by. He said … “I do not think you will get charged. It was an electrical issue. It was my last call and was heading home”. Now, to charge $180 for doing NOTHING is ******** ** ******** *** simply wrong. Regardless, I tried pay Kelly something reasonable anyways, *** *** *** ********** *** *********** In my mind her approach is an embarrassing approach to your clients and detrimental to your company’s image. As you know, word of mouth is simply everything. I am paying this to the Credit Bureau and not to your office under protest, though in exchange, I am reporting your company to the BBB, Consumer Protection Ontario, *** ** ***** ****** ** **** ** *** ****. ***** *** *** ******* ******** *********. Shame on you guys for taking advantage of local people who place their trust in you. ****** ** ***** ****** *** ******************* *** *** ***

J & S Heating and Air Conditioning Response

Mr. ********, it is unfortunate we find this review on our company. Although we do strive to meet every customers expectations, we realize that not every customer will be 100% satisfied, This being said, we do feel there was information that was omitted from your review to make it accurate. We have been in business for 67 years and during this time we have always had a minimum service call charge of one (1) hour. You have used our services in the past, twice this year, and have had no issue with paying our invoices for those services. The statement of a minimum charge is in bold print right underneath on our work orders. At no time did our technician say the work would be no charge. He did mention the billing is handled by the office and he did not make those decisions. Which he does not. When you called our office to complain about the invoice, I attempted to explain the situation. You were also told that there was no one else to speak to above myself. Which there is not. You were extremely upset and refused to pay the amount owing. We were neither bullying or abusive, or any of the other omitted comments you mentioned in your letter sent directly to our office. It was also explained that unpaid accounts are sent to a collection agency, to which you requested I do so. Mr. ********, we have never taken advantage of any customer and never will. That is not how I run a business.

What you answered is so incomplete and inaccurate, that it is not worth bothering with another explanation. I believe in Karma, so people and companies get in return what their actions (or lack thereof) promote. Word of mouth is the strongest and most efficient marketing campaign. Unfortunately, you do not believe on that or act accordingly. Over & out.
