On October 10, 2023, The Picnic Table Company provided a quote for the installation of a fence on my property located in Thunder Bay, ON. On November 2, I provided a $**** deposit to fund procurement of the required materials. The Picnic Table Company failed to build the fence and has refused to return my deposit. My lawyer has reached out multiple times. After multiple promises of repayment of the deposit, I have yet to receive a repayment.

    Good Afternoon

The complainant on this complaint has been issued a refund in the full amount of $**** although work had been started. His agent Tuom ***** had been in communication with me for this job on Roberts behalf. The job was slightly started however at a point of the job it was pushed back after multiple failed site visits with Tuom to confirm specific job site details. I waited multiple times with no arrival. There are text messages that prove this. There have been many parties attempting to collect for Robert including his lawyer which a refund for $**** was mailed by cheque a few weeks ago and confirmation of arrival has still not yet been confirmed by him. This was the requested method on returning the deposit advised by the lawyer.

Although Robert has NOT made attempts to contact me directly, I had someone reach out to him to confirm the refund. *********** *********. He agreed to wait until Canada post resumes in hopes he receives the refund ASAP.

    Thank you
    Kyle

    Hello,

The Picnic Table Company has indicated that the refund cheque is in the mail to my lawyer.  There was however a postal strike in Canada that has delayed mail delivery. The strike has ended and mail service has resumed so I'd like to wait until January 15 to determine if the cheque has in fact been mailed and cleared with my lawyer.

    ** ** ******** ** *** **** ** **** ** *** *********

    Thanks,

    Rob
