I bought 2 gift certicates value at $50 each online. I have bought these gift certificates before and was able to redeem them. These are two that I tried to redeem a few months ago but owner refused to honor them. His explanation was that he was scammed before with people making photocopies of the gift certificates. (Its not my fault, he should have a better system to record these gift certificates.) ******** **** 1. Certificate number ************* for $50 issued on April 6, 2023 bought through T******* ***** 2. Certificate number ************* for $50 issued on Jan 12, 2023. Hello,

My name is Jason and I am responding on behalf of John P. owner of the Blue Star Restaurant. I am authorized to act on his behalf and have spoke to him at length regarding this unfortunate situation. John had been clear with ****** **** that at the time that the certificates were presented he had multiple occurences of counterfeit or photocopied certificates. He advised her to contact the publisher of ******* ******** to get a refund. It was altogether a mess for the Blue Star's participation. John had done his due dillegence for honoring the certificates issued by ****** ********* - ******** ***** and cross referencing certificate numbers provided to him. At the time Jackie attempted to use her 2 $50 GCs a significant amount of time had elapsed. He no longer had access to the certificate #s and had also received duplicates (photocopied counterfeit) certificates as the promotion was taking place in the early stages. John had not received any money in the transaction for the certificates which is why he HAD directed Mrs. **** to contact the publisher for a refund.

At this later stage John is willing to refund her the full amount paid for the certificates and not the face value of them. Meaning the discounted rate to which she has paid will be refunded by John - dispite his appology and instructions for Jackie to contact the the party that issued the certificate who is lawfully the party that took Mrs. ****'s $$$

If you have any further questions please contact me directly at ###-###-####

    Thanks,

    Jason
