    My wife Dinah called to book a room for March 28/2024 at the Delta Hotel in Regina (Tel. (306) 525-5255). They did not send her any information regarding cancellation or penalty or any other information regarding the booking. She did not sign any document indicating her understanding of hotel policy. They also excluded her from the volleyball block. We were there for my daughter’s volleyball tournament. We do not understand why we were excluded. So that is the reason why we cancelled. My wife called to cancel the booking. They gave her a cancellation number which is ********. The manager Joel D****** also told her that they would waive the penalty because she was told nothing about cancellation or penalties. My wife saw on her online banking that a total of $209.00 was taken out of her **** when they told her that no amount would be taken from her ****. My wife called and left a message regarding the amount they took from her ****. No call has been returned. She asked me to call them. I did twice in two days. No call has been returned. It seems that they are avoiding to communicate with my wife and I. She is being treated unfairly and misinformed about the booking. No information was provided in an email that was sent from the hotel. Hopefully this can be resolved. The resolution we are seeking is refunding what they took from her ****.     The reservation was charged a cancelation penalty as per the established policy applied to the reservation.  The Policy stated in the confirmation of a 1 night charge if the booking is canceled within 3 days of the arrival date.  The booking was for Arrival on march 28, 2024 and was canceled on March 27, 2024 at 10:15 am.  As such the automatic charge of 1 night room and tax was charged to the Credit Card provided.

     

    That having been said the hotel has decided that we will refund the guest for this charge and have left a voice mail with them indicating as such.
