Note-this complex is now under Yugo Corporation. My former student rented an apartment, which BTW was in questionable condition at best with many issues reported. At move out we were billed for painting in bedroom my daughter did not rent. Trying to speak with, be connected to or getting a response back from Nicolette the manager is nonexistent. We need this charge removed. They have a habit of not responding and sending items to collections. We are one of many families have major issues with this rental company and the lack of upkeep to the apartments bordering on code violations (which have been reported). We need this resolved and a way to actually speak with the manager without getting yelled at.

I began living at Yugo Auburn North Townhomes in ****** of 2022. When I moved in, the apartment was dirty. There was trash on the floors, the walls were dirty, the lights did not work, and the bathroom was dirty. I filed all of this in my move in report and nothing was done, so I cleaned the living space myself. In November of 2023, there was a leak from the fridge above my room, which caused water damage on my ceiling and wall. I reported this damage immediately to the property, who set up a fan in my room for 5 days and marked the issue as resolved. I moved out of the property in **** 2024. After I moved, I received over $700 in charges from the complex citing the need for a repaint of the room, bathroom, a new mattress, and for the water damage.I disputed these charges as soon as I received them in August 9, 2024. The water damage was marked complete by their office, and the state of the walls my room at move out was not dirty. An occasional repaint of the room is on the property to fund as it is routine maintenance. Additionally, replacement of the mattresses after a certain amount of wear and tear should be funded by the property. I sent my complaints in writing to the office manager as directed by the staff. I have yet to receive a reply back. I was sent another email by the property in September 2, 2024, stating that the charges were due and if they were not paid they would be sent to collections. This apartment has been nothing but unprofessional and unhelpful to not only me but to other renters. For two years in a row now the apartment has news stories about the horrific states of the apartments at move in, and is currently under investigation by the city of Auburn. I would like these charges removed from my account and my name.

This is for the business called Yugo North in Auburn. The address listed here is correct but it may be the old owners of this complex. We signed a leas for an "upgraded" renovated unit for my son to stay in while at school in Auburn this year. Upon check-in the rental was not renovated and in horrid condition. We apparently are not the only ones with this issue. The complex is giving excuses of how it happened to us but that can't be the same for all. The news came out yesterday and did a story on it as it is so startling. I have not been contacted by management even though I am on the lease as the guarantor. They have not offered to reduce the rent due to the fact it is not what we signed for and apparently are only offering slight concessions in making things right. They should put the students up in alternate housing like a hotel and renovate the unit. Here is a link to the news story from yesterday. *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

As of Aug. *** 2022 my roommate and I have had countless, unresolved, issues with this company. My main reasoning for this complaint is pest control. We have had multiple roaches and other types of insects/ bugs in our apartment. I have reported this multiple times since we've moved in and they have not sent pest control to our home. I am about to have to fork out my own money so there are no bugs/insects in our home. Pest control is part of our lease agreement and included in our rent. On top of that, we were promised many things upon our move in. This would include things such as a clean home to move in to. I have purchased my own cleaning products needed to hit the house before we could settle in. I have also purchased my own home defense spray to spray the inside of our home to help the bug situation. Also, our back patio has become a safety issue as multiple planks on the deck are either deteriorating and/ or broken through. Some one could easily get hurt which is why we do not go out there. Not only are these emergent, safety concerns, we have a mold issue throughout the house as well that has made both me and my roommate sick since living here the last almost full month. I have mold growing inside my downstairs room due to a poorly contrasted back door that lets water seep in when it rains. I have personally filed many maintenance requests and complains. Only a few of the lesser important issues have been resolved ONLY after calling multiple times to complain. One of which was our AC unit being broken. We had to live in 80° AC for over a week because I had to practically beg them to come fix it. This place has drained our bank accounts and is a heath hazard to its residents.

I was told I had to sign a lease early in order to get an apartment with this company before seeing where I would be living in order to receive a apartment during my first semester of school. I was not shown the apartment I would occupy before moving in or before signing the lease. Because I am rejecting the apartment due to discuss, I am told I must find someone to live there. The apartment is occupied by two people with four pets, the apartment smells like a zoo, look like an dirty alley and the room am told is mine is filthy and stinky. I believe they are fooling students into leases knowing the apartments are discussing, and inhabitable.
