I would give them 0 out of 5 stars but it's not an option. I refused to overdraft ANYTHING. I don't want protection, coverage, or it to happen at all. I told multiple employees for years that if there isn't money, I want the charge to not be completed. They, however, want me to overdraft, then charge me a fee, and tell me it's my fault. total scam. Throw your money in the fire before banking with Regions.Review from Anne R

I really think that ******* ***** that took care of my issue at the bank was amazing. He was very helpful and took the time to understand my issue and fix the problem. This is not the first time he has done a fantastic job. He is at the bank at *************. If you have an issue this is the person to go to. I like this bank and will continue to keep my accounts that are there now.Review from Dennis Z

I am in the process of changing banks!December 12th I visited my local Regions Bank branch to request a new debit card since I had not received one in the mail. I told the representative that I would be traveling to ********* for a week-long vacation and needed the card issued on-site to ensure I could access my funds. At the time, I was informed that there were no Regions Bank locations in the ****** area.Once in *********, my debit card was unexpectedly declined while trying to pay for a meal. I called Regions Bank and spoke with a representative who confirmed that my card was active. They provided me with the ****************** contact information in case there were further issues. However, the next day my card was declined again. When I contacted the ***************** I was told that my card had been suspended and that I would need to verify my identity at a local branch to unlock it. Since there are no branches in ******, this was not possible for **** was not notified about the suspension of my card through text, email, or phone, which are the usual methods Regions Bank uses for alerts. When I asked why, the representative said they intentionally avoided communication to encourage me to visit a branch, which doesnt make sense since I had no way of knowing my card was suspended without being notified.Inconsistent Information: When I spoke with a supervisor, they seemed surprised by the lack of communication. The only option I was given was to have my card temporarily unlock for two minutes for a cash withdrawal. The supervisor also stated that ***** not Regions Bank, had initiated the suspension, which is contradictory to the bank's usual process. The lack of communication and failure to follow proper procedures left me stranded in ********* without access to my funds, causing both financial inconvenience and stress. Despite informing the bank ahead of my trip, this situation resulted in a breach of trust and a lack of support when I needed it most.Review from Rosita B

Regions is the worst bank ever. My account was compromised for the 3rd time within a year so I decided to close my account and was convinced to open a new account. This was done about a month ago. For the first few weeks everything was fine. Then on Sunday, December 15, 2024. I got a text alert. I answered no that the purchase was not me. About 5 minutes later I received a call from ***** at 610# who identified himself as from the fraud **** at Regions. Since I had been down this road before i was cautious but anxious to have this matter resolved. After 50 minutes on the phone with ***** i not only was out of the initial $121.00 but now not only was my checking account compromised but my Now account was also. All of this added up to $983.24.Monday morning I went to the local branch office and spoke to a very nice young lady who basically told me that I had to wait until Regions did whatever they had to do. I was issued new cards, but no money. This is day three and after talking to the branch as well as the supposedly fraud ****. I still have no money! This is not my fault and i truly believe that it is an inside job. Regions is wrong to have the customer wait. I have bill to pay as well as Christmas shopping t do. Nothing is being done other than them telling me to wait for my money. They all agree that I am due my money but no one seems to be able to give it back. I want and need my money today. I am not a rich person. Regions is losing a loyal customer.****** B. ********Review from Richard W

We had been trying to get a ***** loan from Regions. After all the paperwork was submitted, it turns out they did it all wrocg and we had to get them more information. After that was completed and we got the final information to them, they the proceeded to say there were closing costs of over $3000. On their website, it clearly says "No Closing Costs." I'm not sure if this is a bait and switch, but after 2 months of frustration and stress, we still don't have a loan.I'm feel as though we've been cheated by them and am noever going to try and get a loan from them again.Chances are we are going to close all accounts and move our banking somewhere else. Frustrated and angry do not describe how I feel about them. It's more like furious.Review from Justin G

The *** in the building was down. All I needed to do was speak with a teller to withdraw money from my account. I waited over 20 minutes in line while the one teller was working with a customer that was having issues. Meanwhile, the other 4 bank employees including the manager do nothing to help. Finally, after two other customers enter the manager comes over to say they will be right with us. Another five minutes passes with no one helping, and I have to leave because I have now wasted my entire lunch break waiting to withdraw money. This is aggressively terrible customer service.Review from Andrea S

Online supervisor Maya. And the *** who answered my call. Ruined the 20 year experience in 15 minutes that i had with Regions. I called in to request babk details on a Pending transaction that hit my account thursday Nov, *******. I used the contact us phone number from the regions app. (I will never do that again) my first spoken words were i do not know if I need to file a claim, it may be something I fid but dont remember. I was asking for the bank details. The rrp cut my card off without me asking and I asked her to cut it back on. She said she could not that her supervisor could once I validated the ***** transaction I called about. I reminded her I did not know if it was valid or not that is why I called to get the bank detail and to look into it. I did become frustrated and rude at this point, the *** was never rude, just made a gross error, but the supervisor Maya, now she should not be in that job and if Regions keeps her after reviewing my complaint, I will take my little money and go elsewhere after 20 years. Maya, was so rude after a mildly heated conversation she told me she ain't gonna cut my card back on, even though I said I would validate the little ***** transaction. I requested to speak to her boss and she told me no that her boss does not speak to customers. After I confirmed with Maya, that she was telling me She would not let me speak to her boss, she would not cut my card back on even though I never requested it to be cut off and even with me validating the ***** transaction. She again denied me access to my debit card and her boss. If regions HR does not listen to that recording then that is unacceptable. I believe Mayas actions of deliberate ugliness caused injury to my financial situation. She could do this to anyone of you, creating h*** for you, just because she can. I told my local branch of 20 years I almost closed my accounts out 3 plus a cc, but I would stay and NEVER use online help again. USE YOUR LOCAL BRANCH FOR ALL NEEDS.Review from Evelyn E

I am not surprised that this location has such a low rating. Their staff misrepresented their policies cheating me out of a years worth of high interest on $25K. Additionally, they also charged me a $15 fee each month even when my balance was over the minimum for NO service charge. When I discovered this and went to the bank yesterday to close my account and take my $25K elsewhere, the officer (not a teller) told me that she has no power to get my undeserved (by her own admission) fee reversed. Then she wants to charge me an additional $10 for the check to get my own money. She has no power to waive the fee as a courtesy. I have not been so upset by poor customer service in as long as I can remember.Review from Richard S

If you unfortunately lose your job and havent any funds deposited within 20 days, and abruptly receive funds to existing account you will not have access to those funds. They completely freeze the account while still allowing the deposit. Worst banking institution Ive ever encountered.
